Hope that trend doesn't catch momentum. I love using Airbnb when I travel with my buds to KSU games.

AIRBNB raises rent prices for some of us.

I can see using one if I was traveling with my whole family or some crap and needed a manse though. Otherwise I like being cleaned up after, on-site amenities, and not needing to pack my own soap and stuff. Weird to crack down on them this aggressively though.

Their neighbors generally don't like it either

The neighbors are right. Because it's terrible for neighborhoods.

There is no free market when it comes to real estate and housing. Or hotels!

Yes. Protectionism is an example of a free market force that benefits specific industries but harms consumers, often under the guise of protecting consumers.

Communism is free market ideology!

I mean, Uber definitely needs some regulating, too.

A lot of this. Also hotels getting pissed because additional occupancy taxes tack 10% onto their rates yet most AirBNBs don't (although cities are cracking down on that).
If I lived in a condo building, I wouldn't want a bunch of transient people having access to my building all the time. Seems reasonable to crack down on it if the HOAs or whatever don't allow it.

Yeah, build that into the association rules for sure
