Wow! What a great new television show this is!

So are Elliott and Tyrell new best buds, or is Tyrell going to get shot in the finale?  :runaway:

I was bummed when the finale got postponed and had to spoil some of itself in explaining why, but now I'll get to watch it live, albeit from a shitty western-esque kansas hotel and maybe not even in HD.

I know, now I think I know of a few things that will probably happen but who knows.

It may have spoiled the fact that someone is shot, but it's still unclear who that person is.

The number 1 target is likely Tyrell, but there are other possibilities. One thing I've learned from TV shows in the past 4 years is that every character could be killed off at any moment.

You have to respect a show who goes ahead and names the bad guy "Evil Corp".

You need #oscar to break down the show for you Thursday night.

But who IS Evil Corp?
Title: Re: Mr Robot Needs A Thread (Spoilers)

evil corp is also imaginary
Title: Re: Mr Robot Needs A Thread (Spoilers)

Evil Corp is just what he replaced it with in his mind right?  Isn't it actually E-Corp?

I've never considered that but then again maybe the show is imaginary and none of this is real.

If Evil Corp is imaginary, then his previous job was imaginary too then?

Elliott calls E-Corp "Evil Corp" and since the show is told thru him then you hear everyone else call it that too.

Has anyone ever gone to the extremes that Joanna did to keep their spouse from being arrested? I'm never using a pickle fork again :sdeek:

Yeah, but I can see why it is confusing.  I mean, even the fake reporter doing a fake story on the fake company on fake tv shows "Evil Corp" on their fake crawler.

yeah i was confused if thats just how his brain saw e-corp on the TV or if the MSM latched on to the nickname and it was real

i have held off reading the other thread and this one because i was behind several episodes.  wow you guys!  i was a little confused at the start of the last one if mr robot was really still alive or not.  i guess the tyler durdan likeness did come through somewhat, still a little different.  i really like this show and thought about watching the finale tonight also but ill just watch it live when it actually airs.

maybe i just didnt pick up on it until now, or maybe because it had been a while since i had seen the last episode but darlene and angela, did they show any signs of knowing each other before the last 2 episodes that have aired? i couldnt remember if they had or not, i guess they really havent interacted a lot until then, with all the fsociety planning and junk.

lots of really deep inner reflections, i really like that.

I don't remember Angela and Darlene interacting like old friends before the ballet class scene. When that happened I thought it was weird Elliott's best friend and criminal colleague were buds.

yes they disguised that very well, either that or it was in elliots mind that they didnt know each other, which would make sense because the entire world of the show is a projection of his mind

It like a Teaser for next season?

I wonder if i have to extend my recording, but I noticed it was a slightly longer episode so maybe thats why.

I think so. It's after the credits so I manually added a few extra minutes to the DVR. But yeah I noticed it is a 75 min episode too.

Great question, TBT! Elliott doesn't know how to use a gun, but Mr Robot does. Darlene is the only who knows it's there.

I don't think anyone shoots Tyrell tho.

Do we know what their motive is yet? CTO seems like a strange goal unless there is something he wants to do with that info.

Also, the only prediction I feel confident making is that Angela accepts the job offer from E Corp.

Angela is definitely taking that job, which makes me think that the hack won't pan out and she will be there next season.

They postponed the episode due to likeness of events so I figured it meant someone got shot on camera so I figured "Mr. Robot" goes off the hinges and makes an fsociety video shooting Tyrell.  But there's been so many twists, who knows.

I think someone gets shot, but I don't think the event was that similar to what happened in VA.

I mean, it's got to have some resemblance.  Only show to cancel and I'm sure there were quite a few other shows/movies that night that had people getting shot.

someone is gonna get shot, the question is who.  i really think its gonna be tyrell and your theory about mr robot going off on camera is a solid one.  either that or they are gonna get terry colby and shoot him, basically showing the world is isnt in charge anymore and fsociety is going out on its own now.

Season 2 is going to be a let down crap show.  Season 1 was great, but they should stop there, high five everyone in the room, and move to the next project, imo.

USA can't handle show success and this one had a very defined arc.  I mean, where will they even go from here that will make anyone watch?

Season 1 will be almost impossible to top, but the creator has a complete story arc on mind for the entire series. I have faith the show will be good. They did a great job of teasing season 2.

Has True Detective broken viewers?

i very much look fwd to S2.  'Bilderbergs' vs 'Anonymous/Occupy' should be great.

The scene with Elliot and Mrs. Wellick was really tense.  I was expecting something else to be in that baby carriage and did not expect her to be so quickly broken when she didn't get info form Elliot.

Angela.  What to do with her now?  She can't double agent bc CEO knows her and her connections, she's f'd.

fsociety appears fractured, obviously. is it repairable? Does Trenton GAF now that her families problems/debts are erased?. can elliot salvage it at this point? Romero appears to have 0 patience or trust.  Tyrell(???)/Elliot/Darlene offshoot?

White Rose.  MOAR.

The scene after credits, I thought that was the Escalade pulling up to the mansion and from the back the guy that got out looked like Elliot.  :surprised: for a sec that he had been converted over to the 'bergs that Wellick rolled with early on. Really great final line for the season about Nero.

While watching the first 9 episodes of the season I thought that the fsociety hack is the end goal for the show, but it's really just the catalyst.

White Rose has only been on screen for about 5 minutes but he is the 2nd most important on the show.

The drugdealer Villar is still out there.

Cops have been looking into Elliot.

There are many arcs they can spawn off on, but White Rose...  :Wha:

1. If the bolded part is true, then the show will be fine. it will just seem as if season 1 was too long to get to the point.

2. Yes, True Detective broke plenty of viewers.

Well I don't believe you :don'tcare:

in my defense i am easily swayed by good acting, writing, cinematography, soundtrack, storylines, and of course, character arcs. mr robot checks all those boxes

I already decided that I am going to have to rewatch from the beginning before next season.

I did that before this season on the usa site.  It was cool b/c they had little easter egg things that would pop up at the relevant points.

It's weird that it's going to be over 2 years of our real time covering a story that takes place in like 3 months of the show's time, right?

The early 90s sitcom dream/illusion was incredible.

This was terrible

This show is a 4/7.  The kubrickian nods are masterful and then it gets bogged down in stupid ass multiple personality bullshit. Get rid of that dreck and the cliche voiceover and it could move to an 6.5/7

Got my Mr. Robot mask in the mail for a Halloween party I'm going to.  I'm guessing almost nobody at the party will know what my costume is.

Bump.

Episodes 1 and 2 were kinda meh, but the missing Tyrell story may be the best episode so far. Esmail's ability to weave real life events into the writing is incredible.

Irving may be my new favorite TV character on any show, not just this one.

What a great show.  That said, I'm hoping it ends this season or no more than 1-2 more.  I don't like there being a show out that I'm obligated to watch as it happens.  Plus, I'll definitely have to binge watch the entire series once it's all done to catch everything, and I don't want that to take too long.

That was amazing.

So whiterose's endgame, or at least what angela thinks it is, is some sort of time travel, right?

That's a popular theory on reddit, etc. I'll be a little disappointed if this show takes a weird sci-fi turn.

The cinematography last night

I'd easily pay $1K to watch a satisfying conclusion to this series this weekend.

So this is funny because during my re-watch before this season I noticed the reason I really dislike the Darlene actress is because she looks and sounds like anna gunn
