Cmon boys this is why we football
-
yeah defense go woooooo (??????)

:frown:
Texas tried to give it away too.
-
I blame this loss on fatfamon for starting a game thread so late.
-
We covered the spread, I consider that victory.
-
he tries, but it's not in his blood.

They have a lot more good football players than we have. Oh well

First of many Youngblood special teams scores was very fun.

As was Malik's juke

I’m still livid about Clitz Hymen sitting on those timeouts at the end of the first half, content to let Texas run out the clock deep in their own territory. Be aggressive, dawg.

Meh

Cmon man I gotta rage about something, just lemme have this one
-
MEH
I actually liked letting the time run out. Really kinda had the feel that Texas was getting nervous/hesitant at that point.
Real problem is being completely unable to stop the run (or move the ball after the first two drives).
-
I mean if we had been aggressive and potentially gotten a field goal out of it, it would’ve at least broken up what was 24 consecutive Texas points. That wouldn’t have hurt the mo-mo. The announcers were openly questioning Klieman’s clock management there, and letting the time run out ended up doing absolutely jack crap for us except help Texas preserve a 24-point run, so on this one I’ll just say the proof is in the puddin’.
-
We need the Joes. The difference in talent was staggering. Tom Herman's ineptitude kept the game within 20.
-
Meh. Great first year by Kli. I knew #16 was a bit aggressive by the committee, but I still loved it. Give me 8-4 and Orlando and I’ll be happy. I can’t believe how bad this conference sucks this year.
-
Yes agreed wacky. True success this season comes down to winning 2/3 of our remaining (and very winnable) games.

Both of these

I mean just making a bowl game makes me happy for this year. But losing another game this regular season will pinch my balls... We should beat the losers left on our schedule.
-
a coach with a more instinctive feel for the game would have won. you can't teach a cocker spaniel to herd sheep, people.

We are beat to a bloody pulp. I’ll be happy if we take care of WVU and ISU at home.
-
Oh most def this is a v. good first season and overall I'm psyched about it. I just wanted to win so bad today because I love them CATS, know what I mean?
-
Klieman was right at halftime. Said they knew it would be the type of game it was shaping up to be at heading into third qtr. he said whichever team makes one more play and one less mistake than the other would win. That’s exactly what happened.
Winning would have been great, but I’m not bummed. That was a pretty damn good college football game between two pretty good teams. Both teams made a number of great plays and both had a number of mistakes. Entertaining and lived up to the fun score imo.

some other stuff too, but mostly this

we're going to absolutely punish west virginia
-
I can't believe you guys thinks ISU is a sure thing. They just lost to OU by one point, due to Cambell being greedy.
-
they’re iowa state, katdaddy

Tobias
they’re iowa state, katdaddy
Also, their Defense is just a tad suspect. I have a hunch that KSU willl be healthier and more physically ready to match up with I-Oh-Way shtate.
-
Well I went to this game yest. The Texas fans really don't care about us or about their season tbh. I think the LSU + OU losses really made them look towards Dallas Cowboys games. Either way, it was alright.
-
One of the Texas fans sitting next to me complained constantly about the Big 12 trying to protect their darling K-State.
I’ve actually been to a lot of UT games in Austin and this one had more energy and excitement towards the end than just about any other I’ve been to outside of A&M.

Lol, that’s a hell of a RP/wooly combo.
-
I work with UT fans, they are checked out this season. Kinda losing hope in the program TBH.
-
After they picked up that late 3rd and 14 we should have just escorted them directly into the endzone and given ourselves a chance to get the ball back.
That said, we were boys among men and had no business even being competitive in that game.
Even if this is an incredibly small timey loser mentality take, if a month ago someone would have said to me "ou, ku, ut. You can win 2 of 3." I think I still would have chosen that combo.
-
IMO the game turned on Barta's fumble. We had a steady drive going up to that point and it looked like we were pushing Texas around and controlling the LOS. If we put another TD on the board to go up 21-7 right before halftime I think things would have turned out differently.
