There's no way his KSO name doesn't have some form of "wacky" or "fanning" in it. Absolutely impossible.

Who is the horse your a-filly-ated with next weekend, and how can I bet on her?

Guys, today (technically yesterday!) I went to this place called SERV in KC. They had pickleball courts as far as the eye could see and then like, 5 foodtruck-y kitchen places, probably 2 bars. It was neat! They had a live band and big screens for the Kentucky Derby. I'm not here to recommend the food by any means. But the spot is pretty neat!

As in, the algo consultant is unaffiliated with any rental properties?

Is there a way to limit all the conglomerates/rich people from buying up a bunch of housing to use for rental properties? Like a cap on the number of properties? Or would it be super easy to get around?

I'm pretty sure this would just screw over rental agencies, and somehow drive up prices on rent. But that's brain storming, baby.

I started going through the Simpsons a few years ago, whenever Disney+ got it. I rewatch seasons 3-10 regularly. And it's clearly not because of nostalgia, I think it's just a great show with evergreen humor.

The live version of Hallelujah by Elvis Presley a la Kick-Ass

The original Leonard Cohen version and the Jeff Buckley version are far superior, me boy!

Not THAT "Hallelujah", ya goof. I said Kick-Ass, not Shrek. But that's completely on me, the song is actually called "An American Trilogy".

I don't know my answer to this, and am not trying to imply anything by asking; do either Dai Dai or RJ stay if Tang doesn't flirt with Arkansas?

Possibly the start of a new thread, but the grocery store is insufferable these days. Self check out when you have a lot of produce takes forever, and even if you do wait for an employee to ring you up, they don't bag it for you anymore so you have to watch all your stuff get smashed at the end of the conveyer belt while you're pulling out your credit card, or getting your club card, or whatever. Then make the rest of the line wait on you while you're bagging everything.

So clearly they're pushing for pick up or delivery. But those apps' interfaces need a ton of work for me to feel confident that my order is going to be correct. And to take less time to complete than to just go to the store myself.

I think the contracts idea is the only way to satisfy both sides of the equation. Your freshman contract could be written comparable to a rookie contract. And you lose NIL if you agree to play 2 years but leave beforehand (unless the coach leaves) or something like that. Otherwise every kid not starting is going to transfer, and 2-3 starters are going to transfer every year.

Kansas State Football / PORTAL KOMBAT (but for football)

So that Utah St RB cancelled the Oklahoma St trip he was supposed to go on after visiting the Cats. And also, Dylan Edwards is in town.

Is there room for both?!

Damn. Mrs. Stevesie60's favorite player was RJ by a lot. If Buddy leaves we might be giving up our season tickets.

AI needs to post in the drawing a powercat by hand thread

The best post in the powercat by hand thread will be posted in August of this year.

This post only makes sense to 3 other posters, but I'm putting it here so I can bump it then.

My wife is enjoying Ripley way more than I am and I’m guessing it’s because I’ve seen The Talented Mr Ripley and she has not.

Interesting. I was going to suggest Mrs. Stevesie60 watch the movie with me first but I am glad I learned that that is NOT the route to take.

not specifically topical but the same percentage of people own homes at the same age for all of recorded history. you hear people claim differently all the time. liars and dumbasses I believe.

Sure the trends are similar, but based on that chart it looks like millennials trend about 10% boomers at pretty much every age (with Gen X in between). Not earth shattering but seems like it’s something.

So 10%-15% more Millenials went to (and paid for/are in debt for) college than Boomers/Gen X, and 10% less own homes? That seems significant.

Do I need to watch The Gentlemen movie again before starting the show? I haven't seen it since theaters.

Have never seen the movie but enjoyed the show.

If you like the show, you will like the movie.  All right All right All right is great.

Alright, that was really enjoyable. And I got it for like $1.50 as a Prime perk. I can't believe I'd never heard of it. I guess I was busy at the time.

Speaking of paying for movies, did you ever pull the trigger on Smashed?

Not yet, man. I will, but tonight it's not in the cards. Someone else wants to smash, tonight.

Wasn't pressuring, just curious.

Season 2 got announced just today!

diving into Ripley now on netflix. finished epi 1, it's visually beautiful. i really like andrew scott ever since sherlock so i'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

I didn't see a follow up to this. Did you dive any further?

Snatch is definitely a top 10 movie for me, probably top 5. But I always thought it'd be a great 10 episode series, with each character or duo being the focus of an episode. So I'm hoping The Gentlemen is exactly that.
