Well he'smore than likelygone, so...
There won't be another QB on the roster for Alex to "compete" with. This guy could step right in and start as a freshman. He looks the part. Nice write up about him. Tucks and goEMAW will love him.
He's a badass, and a Kansan. Imagine this Kansan son playing for Legendary Head Coach LHC Bill Snyder, and being a complete hero to everyone he grew up with all of his fellow Kansans....gives me chills!

Granted this is a different stance than you usually have: "will take", "do not want",..... Really compelling stuff by our guy, the recruiting wiz, scottwildcat.

Enough about Aaron Sharp, who would have never seen the field. Alex Delton would have put Sharp in his rear view the first week on campus.Agreed. Plus look at Sharp's throwing motion, it's disgusting. :Yuck:

Delton probably wouldn't see the field here until his junior or senior year.

I bet Delton comes in and crushes it as a freshman..He's got Freeman's frame, Bishops arm, and Robersons legs.

Ertz will know the playbook and have all the intangibles. Plus, he's a better runner than you think.

So you're just assuming that Ertz is going to be a DITR? I never said Ertz was a bad runner. I have never seen the kid play or anything. All I know is he dominated terrible competition in high school in Iowa.

I would be A LOT sadder if we didnt land delton than if sharp flipped. And I like sharp a lot.
Yes, but want Delton badly as well. Willis sounds like an good chance of coming to KSU, loves coaches I believe. A source. Both would have a ton of success here. Love Willis's arm. I'm not sure what I think of Willis. From what I heard he's not really a team player. Apparently he wanted his team to lose when he was injured so that it would prove he was that important to the team. Maybe his attitude would change in college but who knows.

2015 QB likes K-State, covets Mizzou offer

MORE: Indiana coming after 2015 RB Dowell
As one of the top quarterbacks in the state, it's not a surprise that Hays (Kan.) three-star prospect Alex Delton already holds an offer from Kansas State and has the Wildcats in good standing on his list.
Alex Delton thinks his diverse skill set would fit well in the Kansas State offense.
"I'm very comfortable with them," the 6-foot, 193-pound Delton said. "I was the first guy in my class that they offered at quarterback. The relationship I have with Coach (Del) Miller and them is pretty big. The relationship I have with the whole staff is good. I've been around there quite a bit and I definitely feel comfortable with them."
Delton can sling it with some of the best of them but also recorded one of the best 40-yard dash times of any players at the recent Under Armour Underclassmen Combine. He said he thinks his skill would fit nicely into K-State's offense.
"I feel like they kind of favor that particular type of quarterback with my skills," Delton said. "It's good that they offered me. I can definitely see myself fitting into that program."
While the Wildcats are his only offer, plenty of schools continue to show interest.
"It's getting pretty crazy the last month or so with Nebraska, Missouri and West Virginia," Delton said.
With the dead period now over, Delton is expecting to hear from plenty of schools.
"I know I talked to Coach (Shannon) Dawson at West Virginia. They're going to come and see me," Delton said. "Coach (Tim) Beck at Nebraska said they're going to come and see me. Coach (Andy) Hill from Mizzou, who I have a really good relationship with, is coming up to see me as well."
Delton said the Tigers are a team he's really hoping to add to his offer list.
"I'd like to have an offer from Missouri next," he said. "That's a school I've been talking to a lot. I do like Missouri a lot. I like their offense and how their coach works with their quarterbacks."
With camp season just around the corner, Delton said he's hoping to pick up some offers without having to auditioning at camps over the summer.
"There's some schools I thought about camping at this summer," he said. "But at the same time I feel like the schools that are on me right now are on me pretty heavy and I'm confident most of them will come through and offer me this spring. I'll basically go from there and see what offers I have and look further into it this summer."

I could understand losing him to those three schools, but Mizzou?!? Yuck.. He wants to go to a school that hasn't ever won a relevant conference title? :goodbyecruelworld:QuoteOriginally posted by alcysha1:

Hell, I could've told you that. Its over if Alabama and/or USC offer too.
As soon as Tennessee, Florida and Georgia get back to their historical average, Mizzou will be left with two conference wins a season, at best, for ever and ever.

Those schools are never all good at the same time. Mizzou will be just as good as they were in the Big 12.

STRENGTHS: An athletically gifted young player who has great footspeed for a college prospect. He has shown to have no problem hitting the open receiver, with a clear understanding of leading the receiver to the ball and hitting him on the correct shoulder. He has no problem getting the ball downfield when he's on the run. ... AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT: He must do a better job of using his legs to step into the throw, as right now he is pretty much all arm. A little mechanical work on his upper body is necessary too, especially so that he can shorten up his release and not have as much of a windup leading into the throw. ... BOTTOM LINE: Delton has a lot of natural gifts that will make him a highly-touted recruit, but he needs to put in a little more mechanical work in order to maximize his potential as a college quarterback. He doesn't have a problem with accuracy whatsoever, but it certainly wouldn't hurt him to make the mentioned adjustments and help his timing.

Where do you think they will put his statue? I want to say East side of the stadium (a man of the people), but they may elect to put it on the South lawn at the Capitol building in Topeka (where it can be seen from the State Supreme Court building as well).

Wildcats land in-state quarterback
Rob Cassidy

Talk about it in The Main Board
Alex Delton's commitment to Kansas State wasn't a shock-the-world type announcement by any stretch. That's not to say everything saw it coming, though. The Tuesday-night decision came without warning or any semblance of foreshadowing .
"I basically knew I was going to eventually commit since early January, but I didn't know exactly when," Delton said. "I knew I was going to commit to K-State but I didn't decide I was going to do it today on my visit until I talked to my parents about it a few nights ago. We kind of decided then."
Alex Delton committed to Kansas State on Tuesday evening.
Quarterback recruiting moves quickly. There's little time for sitting idol. Waiting too long can force a player to miss out on opportunities. Roster spots fill up in a hurry and scholarship offers have a way of vanishing overnight. part of the reason Delton pulled the trigger on his commitment on Tuesday, but it's certainly not the only reason. There's more to the situation than urgency.
A lot more.
"It's simply just the people up there and the offense they run at K-State," Delton said. "The offense literally fits me perfectly. It doesn't get much better. I saw it on the board today. I'm the No. 1 guy they wanted. That's a good feeling to have. Some of the other schools had other guys No. 1 and were waiting to offer me until after they saw what the No. 1 guys were going to do. At K-State, it was never like that."
K-State is responsible for Delton's first and only scholarship offer. The Wildcats made things official on that front last offseason, when the Hays (Kan.) standout turned heads with his speed at a team camp in Manhattan. In the time since, Delton has become an unofficial Wildcat of sorts.
Surprising as Tuesday's news may have been, it was actually a formality of sorts.
"Me and Jake Waters, the quarterback now, we've talked from time to time. Being up there today, I spent the day with him," Delton said. "I got his number. We'll be talking a lot more now. I can't do it on K-State's field or anything, but I want to be able to throw with him. I'll be up in Manhattan almost every weekend now.
"I guess it was an early commitment, but this was clearly the best decision for me."
Delton was a standout at the Rivals250 Underclassmen Challenge last offseason and also garnered some attentions at this year's Under-Armour National Underclassmen combine. He is the No. 13-ranked quarterback in the 2015 class.
Delton says he's never discussed a position change with the K-State staff or any other coach involved in his recruitment. Despite rumors to the contrary and some concern over his throwing motion, he intends to play quarterback on the college level.
when he says "I saw it on the board today" i think we all know what he means. Those were my thoughts as well.

How about we call him Rocket Cat. There is some historical precedence, apparently."Exploding Chicken Leg"

Look, we cannot say anything, but something about someone may or may not be said later, so keep your eyes open. I shouldn't have even posted in this thread, and wouldn't have said anything, except that its kinda my job to make vague statements relating to possibly knowing or not knowing anything about recruiting updates, which I do not have enough sources on right now to independently confirm or report on at all, but someone does, and it's my job to say that.
Did he die? That pic makes me think he's dead. :frown:

Nobody is dying. My goodness guys, you see why we hold information at times.

I can't believe he's dead, he was so young and full of potential.

Look, it is NOT THAT. Not sure how many times I need to say that. We just do want you guys to be caught off guard by things, and have you later say "Wow, wish I had gotten a heads up to have a heads up."

I WARNED YOU GUYS!
Look, as reported by Scout.com, A J Harris has announced he is going to Mizzou. Don't say I didn't tell you guys that this was coming, or that you were caught off guard, because I said something was coming.
Thanks Pete, glad you told me to be ready for that news. You are the best at your job.
I am thinking that some of this info is stolen property.

stolen property? if bsac were to steal a list of his firm's customers and start a new firm, would that also be considered stolen property?

Florence Griffith Joyner (FGJ) ran it in 21.34 seconds (in 1988!). So I was right, its not good.everyone was on 'roids in '88. everyone. even me and i was one year old.
Jordy ran 21.6 for the 3A record, for perspective. Alex had great closing speed in the 4X1 Saturday, really brought Hays back from behind. Got smoked by the Seaman sprinter in the 100 (only ran a 10.99) and 200, but closed out the 200 well (went from 5th or 6th off the curve to almost get 2nd). You would probably rather it be the other way around if you're thinking in terms of football speed, but he looked to be a competitor. Also looked like a few biscuits wouldn't hurt him.
Morgan Burns' little bro looked good, too.

is he super fast or is everyone else in KS who runs the anchor leg of the 5A state 4x100 just, like, little baby turtles who are super slow?
alex delton. he resembles tony gonzalez. it's like he's tony gonzalez junior
There won't be another QB on the roster for Alex to "compete" with. This guy could step right in and start as a freshman.
also based upon my post above yours

He's a badass, and a Kansan. Imagine this Kansan son playing for Legendary Head Coach LHC LHC Bill Snyder, and being a complete hero to everyone he grew up with all of his fellow Kansans....gives me chills!

Who is this rudy poo?
could be an undercover op where he's planning to sabotage the toads from within. just speculating here but i wouldn't rule it out. :Chirp:Who is this rudy poo?
this traitorous son of bitch was born a kansan. he played football at the quarterback position here at kansas state up until 8 weeks ago. he’s gone behind enemy lines and was converted to a frog.
I'm going to enjoy it when we stack the box against him and then he throws it to our guys, both because his brain will tell him to throw to K-State guys and because he has a knack for throwing it towards opposing teams.
Continuing the tradition of horned frog QBs sporting the powercat.
gonna suck when he's catching td's out of the slot, and we continue to run the worst wr unit in the big 12 out there
BUMP - Rumors swirling that Alex has left the TCU program. Patterson down to drawing straws for starting QB this weekend.
