I think Wayne McClain has AAU ties from his HS days.

He had really really really good HS basketball teams.

He doesn't. He was only a high school head coach for seven years in Peoria with his last season in 2001. He didn't even recruit at Illinois the last few years if not longer. Just stayed on campus while oscar and Jerrance recruited their balls off. The role he has at K-State is a good one for him. If someone needed their ass chewed it was Wayne that did it. He is oscar's bad cop. Also a great guy and confirmed stud.

Seriously, what is our effing problem with recruiting? I'm getting sick of being at the bottom of the Big 12 in both football and basketball. This whole running a honest, legal recruiting athletic department isn't working.

Now that the season has concluded, I'd like to start following recruiting...I am woefully out of touch on where we are at with the 2014 class.

I want to give oscar the benefit of the doubt (in this thread at least). It seems he has a great base (Big 12 title, new facility, daily flights to Texas and Chicago) from which to recruit.

Would someone be kind enough to type up a list of confirmed targets and give me a sentence or two on their "story" and our chances on them? I'm sure there are others who would also appreciate this as much as me.

I suggest you reach out to "Scoops" Wallace over at gpc. He's a knowledge machine. Just last week he broke the Frank Martin leaving KSU to coach at South Carolina story.

Since there are not shooting guards on that list, you have to wonder if after we landed Jevon Thomas that the plan was to part ways with Orris after this season, and try and pick up a SG for '13 in the spring. Probably the reason we didn't RS Orris. So, Orris would still have his RS when he transfered, while still getting SOME experience this year.

So we are replacing Will, shane and most likely one of the 2013 recruits in this class. Three scholarships: Will = Point guard, Shane = small forward, wildcard = wildcard. We are after a ton of point guards have to land one, So is Jordan Barnett the number 1 priority???

I thought Omari was on scholarship.
