I like it when shirts like these come out just because it helps identify dorks who take stuff too seriously.

In all fairness, it just seems dumb to me to NOT do this...  If the ath dept can score some extra coin off the rubes you just described, why not?

Plus, seeing how butthurt the phoggies get is well worth it also as far as I can tell.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Ath Dept ultimately get a cut somehow? Or does Varney's just pay one lump licensing fee and then make all they can from it?

I'm pretty sure it's a GTM shirt. And the AD gets 10%.

I think you under-estimate how kstate0 tucks are.  I would be willing to bet if you lived in MHK area you'd see this shirt neatly tucked into trousers.

I like that one better.  It commemorates the moment without trying to incite butthurt. It's also approved by the university. . .which somehow weighs in as important to me.

I think the reason so many KU fans are so upset over t-shirts is because t-shirts are the only connection to KU many of them have.

Making a t-shirt for a random game in February makes them feel very disrespected. It diminishes their self worth.

I just ask that everyone is considerate of those feelings.

I was at a basketball game last night and a woman behind me was yammering into a cell phone about the K-State T-shirt thing. She was still really upset, poor thing. Going on and on about how she had a conversation with her K-State sister about getting one (although apparently her sister wasn't planning to get one or even aware of them). Talking about she'd have a closet full of T-shirts if she bought one every time the sqwawks beat K-State.

It's kind of like whoever prints them gives sqwawk losers outrage refuge. A real service for  them, if you ask me.

I'm 100% positive they made a tshirt last season about the "real" champions with the score of both kstate games on it. It said something like "you be the judge". They had a fuckload of them at the Kansas sampler on 119th and black bob.
