Pretty pud storm to be honest. Glad the snow accumulation didn't happen as planned or that would've sucked

is it true that an abnormally wet winter in CA means more potential for wildfires the following summer (due to excess foliage growth that can later be fire fuel)?

sometimes yes, i think.  depends on more variables than just that.  like, yes the extra annual growth is more fuel, but if there's more ground moisture (and thus higher water content in plants) then that has the opposite effect.

First too little rain now to much, smdh

In all seriousness, if they can find a way to channel that crap over the sierra Nevada and refill Lake Mead that'd be great (I know that's not possible but would be sweet)

California needs to make up its mind: do you want more water, or less? God's just up there on a cloud in the sky throwing loaded dice, at this point.

No, water is bad for fire. Basically just puts it right out in my experience.

My very first trip to Cali many years ago, it rained every single day we were there, and that was 8 days, multiple days it rained all day.

Those are cool pics

Good, could still use more, or at least specifically it slipping past in NV/UT/CO so lake mead can heal a bit.

I haven't looked into it but I don't think any of this is getting past the mountains to affect lake mead

Deathstorm was a huge nothingburger here. We got like 10% of the predicted snowfall.

Ike says that we wouldn't have won the Battle of the Bulge if Americans were this afraid of snow in 1944:
