Storm drain in front of our house is constantly blocked and any significant amount rain causes the sand and dirt from new construction up the hill to settle in my yard, drive and street.  Yesterday morning was worse because it was trash day and the rain dumped a dozen or so trash bins in front of my house along with their trash.
Throwing out a hail Mary here but maybe check the storm drain every once in a while to make sure it's not blocked?

If you want to really get their asses, get on the municipality’s codes and development webpage and you can find standardized construction drawing showing how silt fence and area drains are supposed to be protected per local codes. Then go take pictures of the area drains and the construction sites. Then go to city hall and compare with Codes Inspectors.

I feel like I am constantly removing trash from the storm drain.

I spoke to a building inspector with the city yesterday and he is putting a hold on all their inspections until they a.) clean up the mess in the street and b.) add additional silt fencing.

Nor have I, as long as we're excluding split-levels and walk-outs. Nowhere in Texas, in fact.

Find the model(s) you like and then google search for them. I've seen massive price difference between sites.

Do you want bullshit or a good price on quality stuff?  If the former, where evs.  If the later, there is most likely a good cabinet guy locally that would give you a price better than expected on a well built design, since you have 5 of them.  If west side of KC, I have a guy I could recommend that is a full time KCK fire fighter that runs a cabinet shop biz for local custom builders that does fantastic stuff for rates much better than I expected originally.

Friends. I have a bit of a mouse problem and I don't want a cat. I've caught like 5 of these little bastards in my unfinished basement. I'm thinking I should prob just get someone to come out and take care of it for me. Anyone have any recommendations? I don't really want one of those national companies that always knock on my door trying to sell me a monthly service that is just going to give us all cancer. Any recommendos in the PV/Fairway area are appreciated. thanks

killing off the current mice isn't likely to be much of a solution unless you find and block off wherever it is that they're entering through.

you don't need poison for mice, btw.  traps work really well on them.  they love to get trapped.

Yeah, this is what I read. I'll just be catching them all the time. I'd rather just have someone come and take care of it.

Sys, can snakes climb stairs? (doubtful since they don't have feet or knees) He could put one in the basement to eat the mice.

Glue traps solved the problem for me and then I just left them down there to make sure it was solved (mine seemed like a one-time thing).  Mouse traps were pretty worthless.

The traps they make that go over a 5 gallon bucket are really good at bulk mouse trappin.
