I had been looking forward to The Outsider and the first two episodes have grabbed me by the balls. Moving a little faster than I anticipated.
I'm going to stay with it, but it's like every single damn HBO drama not named succession or game of thrones. I feel like HBO dramas are one continual show called The True Leftovers Outside of the Watchman's Dark Materials.
I have several questions.
Which of those shows is futuristic? Watchmen is set predominantly in 2019, with some flashbacks to 2008 and the 80s. His Dark Materials has parallel universes, one of which appears to be present day based on their use of iphones but nothing about it seems especially futuristic?
The leftovers I guess i don't remember anything about the show that would indicate that it was anything other than present day. Its been a while since i watched the show but they didn't seem to have any technologies that are any different than we have now.
Your other descriptors...unexplained paranormal mysteries...well unexplained and mysteries are redundant, and then for something to be paranormal that also means unexplained but just like, more specifically it is a mystery that science cannot explain.
So...i guess my question here is are you suggesting these shows are all the same because they all contain the element of some kind of mystery that defies scientific explanation?
Sorry just trying to better understand the nature of your position. i'll listen off air thanks go cats.
