You guys got it all wrong. Currie is going to make sure oscar fails next year so he can fire him and bring in Underwood.

I can actually consider this possibility now.

Bill will, sure.  But the fan's acceptance of Curries stance won't until then.  He will just double down on the number of Powercats on that hat and announce that there will be fireworks at next year's "family reunion".

It's going to be very uncomfortable when Currie keeps rolling Bill's body out for those things.

I theorize that there may be some money guys that are telling Currie that if he wants their money, they better get Brad Underwood back to Kansas State.  However, we can't simply fire oscar because we'd rather have Brad, especially after he won a conference title in his first season.  I mean, there's no reason you can't, but for all intents and purposes, if you ever want to hire a non-KSU coach again, you have to give oscar a chance.

So, I feel pretty confident that Marcus, Tre, and Malek were probably over-tested for weed, and that's the reason they're gone.  If we really wanted to keep them around, they could still be around.  But I think Currie is pouring gasoline on this thing so we can work on getting Brad after next season.  There's almost no possible way this can end up with us in the post-season next year.  One year removed from a perceived mutiny, a second straight losing season will be more than enough to fire oscar for cause.

We get Brad, Currie saves as much face as possible, ticket sales will immediately go back up due to Underwood's popularity, and money keeps flowing to football.

Honestly, I think a lot of what's happening is Currie machinations.

Can you fire a coach for cause for losing?  Honest question. I would be surprised.  For cause is usually used for breach of contract for various reasons.

I think rough ridin' the program as thoroughly has has been done is the absolute worst way to make a coaching change.  I mean, rough ridin' pay the buyout and get the guy.  Especially if money ppl are involved.

This is noting other than mismanagement and dumbassery on the programs side.

Holy crap, the stuff being posted on GPC by FITZ is incredible.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

he has a limited history of sabotaging a coach he didn't hire and that he didn't like and who didn't like him.  no history of sabotaging a coach he hand-selected and who is his #1 ride or die best bitch.

What a joke. Now if a player requests his release, he gets publicly dismissed?! Our leadership does it right.

That's not at all what happened. He's gone down the same path as Foster and Tre Harris. Up in smoke. I wish these kids were as committed to basketball as they are getting stoned.

You guys haven't had the scoop about any of these things before they happened, but all the sudden you guys know all the pertinent details immediately after it happens? Sure thing. I don't mind that you couldn't get the info beforehand, but don't try to pretend you guys know what's going on the second after the release comes out.

We posted Malek was leaving earlier this week. We didn't post why at the time at his request. In other words, our source is the one person who knows exactly what is going on here.

The GPC guys know a lot, but if they're given information off the record, they can't reveal it. If they did, people would get fired and their sources would dry up.

the last thing that anyone at gpc wants is dried up sources.  it's like source jerky.  terrible.  who wants that?  honest answer- no one at gpc.

It was kinda like, "I've talked to lots of people and nobody is saying anything. My best guess is (like all the other transfer rumors) is that it's true". It wasn't quite like Babe Ruth calling his shot or anything.
