You guys got it all wrong. Currie is going to make sure oscar fails next year so he can fire him and bring in Underwood.
I can actually consider this possibility now.
I theorize that there may be some money guys that are telling Currie that if he wants their money, they better get Brad Underwood back to Kansas State. However, we can't simply fire oscar because we'd rather have Brad, especially after he won a conference title in his first season. I mean, there's no reason you can't, but for all intents and purposes, if you ever want to hire a non-KSU coach again, you have to give oscar a chance.
So, I feel pretty confident that Marcus, Tre, and Malek were probably over-tested for weed, and that's the reason they're gone. If we really wanted to keep them around, they could still be around. But I think Currie is pouring gasoline on this thing so we can work on getting Brad after next season. There's almost no possible way this can end up with us in the post-season next year. One year removed from a perceived mutiny, a second straight losing season will be more than enough to fire oscar for cause.
We get Brad, Currie saves as much face as possible, ticket sales will immediately go back up due to Underwood's popularity, and money keeps flowing to football.
Honestly, I think a lot of what's happening is Currie machinations.
