LINDY'S

Notes: The good - oscar Weber is high on the talent he's brought into the program. The bad - Between graduation, transfers and dismissals, the Wildcats begin season in start-over mode.
Our call - K-State slipped last season, and a much longer fall is in the forecast this season.

Notes: Offseason transfers and dismissals have put oscar Weber's Wildcats in an unenviable position [...] Another disappointing season would put Weber on the hot seat.

it actually isn't. i root for k-state to do well in sports. but i also like anarchy and don't take these things super seriously.

it's sad to see what k-state hoops has become. i was not a frank fan and did not agree with his dictatorial methods, so i was happy to see him go. i don't think you have to be a screamer and treat kids like they are lesser beings to be successful. frank was also a horrible representative of the university.

k-state hoops won't be relevant for at least three more years. oscar will obviously get fired after this season, and k-state should be able to make a good hire. but the way things were rolling, combined with the recent facilities upgrades, there's no reason why k-state couldn't have cemented itself as a top-5 big 12 program.

big opportunity lost.

rake, if oscar has another garbage season (which I suspect he will) and he gets fired (which I hope happens but is no guarantee) what will make this a program that will entail a good hire? Not being argumentative, just wondering.

sys, you gotta come up and go to a watch party for a hoops game where you'll get to see this guy in action:

Same dude who had me swear off the watch parties last year when he was bitching about Frank's mexican temper.

What's the bet on your life again?

by the way, frank's south carolina rebuild hasn't been overly impressive. i'd make him an underdog to reach even dave odum levels (#18, #41, #46 in KP from '04 to '06) in the next three years. he's won four league games, five league games, and six league games. he's nine games below .500 through three years and this year figures to be another ho-hum team that's unlikely to qualify for the ncaa tourney.

in five years at k-state, frank ran off what, 12 players?

he's up to 10 at south carolina in just three years.

i'll have to dig it up. it had something to do with teams finishing in the top 4 of the big 12, but included a hoiberg clause that i think is now in effect since he left for the NBA!  :crossfingers:

Beems has already made it pretty clear this blog won't be around in March of 2023.
