I found it more interesting that Haase is fat.

I'd love to have a meal with him at Mongolian BBQ

I mean, I was just surprised. He looks to be on his way to being the Mangino of basketball.

yeah. during the game i was like "they should just have the coaches do a handsome off to decide the winner" and then i was like "you know what? i have no idea what haase looks like now. i take that back". then five minutes later they showed him and it looked like he might have just finished eating cb mcgrath or something. he looks horrible.  :Yuck:

50/50

Fred knows he has a lot coming back at ISU but he is really good friends with Gar Forman, who coached him at ISU as an assistant.

ya, the bulls job right now is a ton better than the typical loser NBA jobs most college coaches end up getting.

Yea, the Chicago Bulls are the team in Iowa and its not even close. I bet there is a (small) number of ISU fans who, if he has to leave, want him in Chicago with the Bulls so he can still be their coach.

Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people.

I doubt anyone in Iowa cheered for the Bulls until MJ's 3rd or 4th title.

If a college coach is offered an NBA job they should take it - it's an absolute no-lose situation for someone in that situation.

Yep. Succeed and you're a stud NBA coach. Fail and there's another college job waiting.

Let me just say that I totally agree and Hoi would be an idiot not to take the Bulls job if it is legitimately offered to him. But I can see a coach too intrigued by his alma mater to leave for it. If he fails he (99.9% of the time) will not be able to return.

ISU would take him back in a heartbeat.

Yeah, going NBA doesn't burn bridges the way leaving for another college  team would.  Timing would be the issue, because a plum like ISU would probably have another slth on the payroll.

Are there any success stories of college coaches going to the nba?  I'm not sure why nba teams keep doing it.

P.J. Carlesimo didn't do bad. Also Pitino did pretty well with the Knicks.
