Some simple tasting of your choices, as opposed to her more frutiy choces, and some gentle post-sample coaxing, should do the trick. This has worked for me in the past.

I've gotten her onto better wines, but I think she's got a mental block of some sorts that all beer is going to taste like bud light, so she hates it before she tries it. I won't give up this fight though

Also I have a neighbor friend who is really into beer and getting growlers from various breweries and I just go over and binge on whatever he gives me and stuff.
