Is this just a hipster, uneducated beer drinker thread, or might I present Duchesse de Bourgogne for consideration?

I tried really hard to like sour beer.  I just don't get why it's a thing.

i love new belg la folie and boulevard foeder and monk's cafe flemish sour.

how does it compare to those?

Spent a couple hours at Black Acre Brewery in Indianapolis this evening. Fantastic selection of taps. I will return.

i am a self proclaimed non-beer drinker.  i want to try to start enjoying beer a little so i got some advice and this is what i was able to find at my local store.  am i going to be happy with these?  do i need to pair any of these with any particular food to truly enjoy them?

Till & Toil Saison from Lakewood
Mosaic IPA from Community
Breakfast Stout from Founders
Double-Wide IPA from Boulevard
Franziskaner
Dale's Pale Ale from Oskar Blues
Somewhere, Funky Galaxy & Bible Belt from Prairie

What do you enjoy drinking?  Maybe you can start with beers closer to that.

shiner, that's about it.  i recently had a rahr & sons ugly pug that i enjoyed which was weird because i had never been able to stand dark beers at all.

after many years of people making suggestions, based on my like of shiner, and not finding a single other beer i would purposely buy again based on those suggestions, i decided it was time to just buy stuff that other people like and see if i could enjoy them.

Mosaic, pretty hoppy and citrusy but i think i could like it.  it would probably be great if i was outside grilling which oddly i am not today.

ok, tried 4 new beers today.  i'm gonna throw shiner in there and rank the beers on a scale from 1-10.  10 on my scale is the best beer i've ever had not best beer possible

10- Founders Breakfast Stout
9.9 Prairie Bible Belt
8- Shiner
6- Lakewood Hop Trap
5- Dale's Pale Ale
4- Community Mosaic

so, somewhat successful day, found a beer i like better than Shiner and 3 i don't like as well
