God, I can't wait to see the pic of the game winning field goal against East Southern Missouri State with some huge KU studs* in the background playing slap the bag.

*(assuming KU Karl/Karla can't afford the cabana?)

The cabanas are $400 a person per season available only to season ticket holders and (I think) a minimum Williams fund donation level.

The thing is going to be empty af

$300 mill worth of renos have definitely started... Cabana suites in the south end zone now.

Looks like a ripoff.  I mean if you sit in the shade at the back of the cabana, you've got people sitting in the front blocking your view.  Assuming you actually want to see what's happening on the field.

It's been almost 10 years since anyone at a KU football game not supporting the visiting team has actually wanted to see what was happening on the field.

I think the cabana provides more fodder than the recliners and the gridiron club

my real concern is when they beat Central Missouri and tear down the goalposts, these 32' plasmas are directly in the fallout zone

Yeah, Memorial ain't no beach or swimming pool....maybe it's a cabana for Potter's Pond?

Food provided by the Jimmy Buffett buffet!

Can't wait for someone's dad to saunter over with winebreath and jean shorts and tell me which classic rock album he blasted out his 8-track player while he picked up chicks.

Friend was on tour with the Beach Boys years ago.  Was their lighting designer.  Plane almost went down mid-Atlantic.

He said all he could think at the time was "I have worked with Lucas, Spielberg, Ozzy, Madonna in her prime, along with many other amazing people, and I have to die with this f'in lounge act?  Life is a cruel b!"

yeah they should just quit at this point since i'm pretty sure Mike Love is the only actual Beach Boy still on that tour?  but they're still one of the greatest bands of all time

After 70 years of tradition, no more Band Day. Sure, why not punt the one Saturday of the Fall that makes the stadium look like there's any fans left that he hasn't run off? JFC, I loathe that worthless empty suit (or pleated khakis and polo). Yeah, yeah ... it's not his decision, it's the band director, right fellas?

on rationalizing why they lost another kid with a de-commitment.........

This sort of stuff happens whether the kid is committed to Bama, tOSU, etc. or KU. These kids get their seat at the table, then verify that it's the right seat.
