Q39 is pretty dope
it's great. what did you get?
it was catered to my office last week. heres my b-down:
chicken- meh. i dont really like smoked chicken so my opinion here isnt reliable.
ribs- pretty darn tootin' good. not the best ribs ive ever had, but enjoyable. pulled off the bone but didnt fall off. just the way i like em!
brisket- the best item. very lean, which i like. not over-salted and plenty juicy. threw it on a bun with some of their spicy sauce. yum.
sausage- i love smoked sausage and this stuff was amazing when paired with their spicy sauce. lots of kick and plenty of bold flavors.
beans- decent. better than oklahoma j's but not by much.
slaw- had some really good apples in it. dont judge a Q place by the slaw, but i went back for this stuff.
have no idea what their menu looks like. its by westport off SW t-way, i believe. clams?
this is a pretty good breakdown. here's my updated breakdown.
ribs. i would love to be the lungs once contained by these bbq boner meats. they finish them with a bbq sauce with a small amt of honey flavor.
brisket. i would love to he the hooves once supported by this bbq boner meat. not a lot of smoke taste but very boss. i like it better than jackstack.
chicken. meh.
pulled pork. i would love to be the blood vessels that once intersected this bbq boner meat. they finish it with apple cider vinegar/apple juice/small amt of rub.
sausage. have not tried. will try on sunday.
beans. meh.
fries. cut in house, i would love to be the skin that once contained this accoutrement. they make a chipotle ketchup in house which is boner city usa.
white bean cassoulet. pretty good.
dinner roll. great. i butter mine and slop some pulled pork onto it and make a sandwich b/c that's what big dogs do.
i think that's all i've had from there. i get the same thing everytime i've been there.
