We should just dress up a black lab AS a bobcat.  Much easier, and safer.  Easy first, safety second.

Our first mascot actually was a black lab named Bosco
I’ve started to kind of hate people, and it’s not because I have anything against them. It’s just, I enjoy it. It’s recreation.

I have a black cat that thinks she's a panther. Also likes hunting birds so maybe put a sparrow in with her during Auburn game

In all seriousness are there any EMAWs on this board that are in the know with admin VIPs on campus that could get these talks started?

How about we just get some college aged guy to dress up like a wildcat.  Also we could get one of our fans to dress up like an eagle.  Then our wildcat guy could get a really big grill and Bar-B-Que  that bird.  But in the interest of safety, we don't really have a fire on the grill.  It's just a fake smoke from a fake smoke maker.  And after the bird is cooked*(this is faked because it was fake smoke), our football team runs out to Bar-B-Que and in the grill is a large bucket of KFC and they all get a piece.  Except for LHCBS, because he is to slow. JFC then comes to the party and announces to our fans, that there is enough bird for all of us to enjoy.  Eagle(chicken) plate specials at the concession stands.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

WARM UP YOUR LAWSUIT MACHINES, MOTHERFUCKERS!! :shakesfist: :shakesfist: :shakesfist:

http://pride-traditions.ua.txstate.edu/campus-traditions/the-bobcat-mascot.html

Texas State has had several officially recognized live bobcat mascots. According to the November 3, 1955 edition of the College Star, "Bashful Bob" was caught five miles north of San Marcos in 1922.  In 1955 "Cheetah" was acquired from Mr. & Mrs. James F. King of Austin and kept by head cheerleader Sid Boaz. During the 1960s, the university had a live bobcat who lived in a cage in the Quad area near Evans Auditorium. In the 1970s that bobcat was transferred to the Waco Zoo for animal rights reasons.

I mentioned it earlier in another thread, but bobcats raised from when they're young (not completely uncommon) are quite tame. I don't think there would be any problem with that, as long as it's treated humanely and only brought to the stadium for certain events.

Meanwhile, he/she could stay at Sunset Zoo, and (if I may say so) live a pretty bombass life for a bobcat.

I'm good with bringing one in from Sunset for every game. But not in a lame way where we put in a cage. Definitely needs like a whole den on one of the terraces.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

Is this a pipe dream?

I liken this to octawood for bball. Both would be a project within reason that would give our arena/stadium something instantly recognizable and unique. Something that is pretty awesome about sports, and college sports in particular. I also doubt either happens.

Yep, having a secretive, wild animal surrounded by 50,000 screaming people is a great idea.

That's what I walked away with from the Real Sports episode on this last November, for sure.
