I don't like drinking on planes. I can usually only drink enough to get tired/slightly hungover/have to pee a lot. Also if you are coming home, you usually have to drive yourself home. No thanks.

do you guys have a staple/standard booze that you go to while flying?  for me, it's dewars rocks.

frontier: fat tire
all other domestics: bloody mary
if they're serving dinner I'll have a glass of whatever garbage red they're pouring

I know you said domestic, but somewhat related, Air France serves pretty good wine on international flights.   :lick:

euro carriers have much better booze. flying international first on domestic carriers you will get a good selection of wines. some of the euros have good beer as well.

2 G&T's in first class on your average ~2 hour flight does not get you hung over or going to the bathroom a million times.

I'm not flying first class on a 2 hour flight. And it would make me pee a lot, and make me very sleepy. And I'm not paying for a town car so I can booze on a 2 hour flight. Maybe town cars in Wichita are cheap or something.

It all depends on how long you need to leave your vehicle parked.  A lot of the time, it is about a wash to get picked up and dropped off at the airport vs. long term parking.

What's the point of having 1 or 2 alcoholic beverages? This is not just related to planes, I don't understand the practice at any time.

I thought this until I was 24, then I decided I liked having a drink or two about an hour for bed. I've been reconsidering it lately, but only because I've been wanting to get in shape.

I don't see the point in drinking unless I'm going to have a minimum of 4-5 and actually feel something.

I turn down free alcohol all the time.  :dunno:

I get that I'm the weird one on this issue, but you still haven't given me a reason why 1-2 drinks isn't pointless unless you're a 100lb girl.

Taste is a fine reason (I don't hold the same opinion), but do you really feel something from 2 drinks? I'm not trying to be super macho guy either, 5 nights a month is heavy drinking for me.

I enjoy a drink or two at home or a bar or restaurant. And yes it will usually give me a light buzz. I just don't enjoy it on flights. I understand why people enjoy it, though.

Love mocat fanningbragging about flying first class whenever possible, BTW.

confirmed. it's almost like humans aren't robots built on the same assembly line using the same parts/chips. also thumbs up to a couple of drinks on a flight. i mean what else are you going to do on that plane? woodwork in your garage with a tv on in the background? not likely.
