The only difference between this team and the team entering 2004 and 2005 is that we THINK we are better off at quarterback. I hope we are correct.

This is not the same as 2004. Bill still has the fire in him. In 2004 he was pretty much done. He will still be able to coach these puds up to be a decent top fifteen team.

We barely finished in the top 15 last year.

We finished the season ranked 5th; where in the eff have you been.

Yea, those same Gurus also had us ranked 22nd last preseason and 6th in our conference.  I don't put much value in the rankings after the bowl results.  I'm sure you know, bowls don't mean a rough ridin' thing. It's what it takes to be selected for the bowl that counts.

Sams stats may have come in Garbage time after we had completely dominated the other team but it is still light years more than Webb or Dyls had.  I mean, do we lose to Marshall in 03 if we have Sams? 

if anything, Sams in 2013 is closer to CK in 2011 than what we had in 04.
