DeSantis is nothing more than a troll, so that makes sense.
Better than being a sellout, mate.

In your mind's eye, who is the sellout in this scenario?
You use to be a creative free thinker on here. Now you’re just here for the likes and the pat on the backs. I miss moderate, Spracs. This new $ Spracs is gross.

Watching the Republican party's descent into madness while also studying the Constitution changed me. At first, I was ambivalent, as I believed our institutions were strong enough to survive any President. Eventually, I was disabused of that notion (it took awhile), and I had no choice but to reevaluate my values. The watershed moment for me was when Trump started messing with the DOJ (and then obviously it snowballed from there), as if they were his personal political prosecutors. Given that the abolition of Roe and its progeny is in the offing, I feel like I made the right moral choice to slowly turn my ship around. That's not to say I'm a card-carrying Democrat, but I cannot support the current incarnation of the GOP, and I don't understand how anyone with a conscience can. They are ghouls who prey on stupid people and bring out the worst of our fears, prejudices, and biases.

You can call that selling out if you want, but I just consider it adapting to a changing environment.

To be fair, I've thought religion was bullshit for a very long time. Most of my life. Now, if people want to have a *personal* relationship with God, that's fine. Just don't legislate it or make your beliefs my problem.

It's new pub party line of thinking, no policy, just what pisses the other side off
And not destroying the economy by hand outs. The horror!

That is hardly the problem but that's always where that goes, but keep thinking that. Supply side, never, ever, ever, ever, ever, has worked, and you're seeing the demand side throw it's weight around for once.

Wanting to be fiscally frugal to protect your own family out weighs all the other crap for me. So I’m here to provide for my family and provide them a future, but not back some BS 44 Billion dollar deal for a war we’re not involved in and pretend we need to use our hard earned $ on lazies to keep the ship afloat.

Sounds like you should vote Democrat, then: the actual party of fiscal responsibility.

What is an example of giving money to lazies?

Do what?

If inflation was driven by Stimmies then Trump sent out more than Biden and wanted to send more than he did (was also nice enough to put his name on the check).

If the issue is support for Ukraine well that has been a bipartisan effort and the blame truly falls on Putin.

If the issue is support for unemployed people then I would disagree.

Saying Biden sucks isn't exactly a policy position.

How would Pubs fix it?

I would bet my left koch brother that the Wichita guy who was in the trump cabinet, then stepped down before crap got insurrectiony, got super quiet, and then lost a bunch of weight is going to run.

Also, I am calling that either Cuban or AllRightAllRightAllRight will run.

What do you love most about this presidency other than orange face being out? Like, what composes you to defend the all time worst president of all time, other than him not being trump? Why are you so defensive for your shitty party? Answer that and maybe I’ll take your bait on why you cried for 4 years over a president that had the economy humming!

This is not a defense.

This is me asking how Pubs will fix this.

Also I don't think things were really humming to end the Trump presidency...

It’s always sobering to be reminded that there are tons of Wackys among eligible voters. Absolutely no willingness or desire to understand issues and instead feeling bitter about feeling victimized by policies they don’t understand.
