We are much better than them. I expect to beat their ass in the second half.

I'm nervous

Frustrating game

Bubble is getting popped today

We just can't miss that many layups
-
4 0f 23 and we're still in it. Well, we were..
-
Need pack to go clutch mode to win this one. Not gonna happen without a few late game flame throwers

So painful. Can't catch a break on much.
-
Hard to complain about getting breaks when we missed like 10 layups today
-
They've given us every chance to win
-
The big 12 doesn’t deserve good things if they don’t let us win
-
refs came around on that travel
-
Can someone explain oscar's mask
-
Pulled the chair on his ass
-
Looks inconclusive to me
-
I don't like having McGuirl take the big shot
-
Looks inconclusive to me
it was funny because when they played it at full speed I thought it was obviously off ezeagu
-
Can someone explain oscar's mask
if u wear a great mask half the time it's equivalent to wearing a decent mask all the time
-
oscar is coaching his ass off. Will it be enough?
-
I don't like having McGuirl take the big shot
You made him angry

Can you expand on this? Are you saying that if the ball keeps moving after a penetration there's a point where the defense should stop moving with the ball?

I mean, if the alternative is leaving the guy wide open from 3 who single handedly caused the price of nylon to double bc he refused to stop wearing out the nets…yeah I’d let that 2 pointer go 1 on 1 and not overhelp
-
is this all because of the lack of rim protection?
-
Their McD AA shooting guard is really rough ridin' good.
-
is this all because of the lack of rim protection?
No, our rim protection actually isn't awful. I'd say generally the bigs are average at rim protection, it's far and away the best thing they do as a unit. Against Oklahoma State they were better than average.
We're 235th in the country in 2 point defense but we're 5th in the country in defending the 3. What does this mean? For us, we guard the 3 point line very hard, however we're very small and not appreciably athletic. The guards are good within the system but not great individual defenders outside of Miguel, who hasn't been as good as an on ball defender either this year, I think because of injures.
Long story short, we close out hard on shooters, don't give up a lot of open 3s but we give up a lot of dribble drive and our bigs aren't on the floor enough to make these tougher shots.
Against OSU Bryce Thompson went off, but they got lucky with that game winning shot. Avery Anderson hit it, Pack was all over him, and he was 1-6 on 3s before that shot went it.

I don’t understand how anybody can follow basketball defense lol. But hearing strategy or stuff like _fan breakdowns once upon a time are always super interesting.
Something I don’t get is why we can’t make 4 small and 1 big work on offense, that should be enough to spread the floor? 4 offensive threats should be good enough, there’s one ball to go around.
-
We should not have lost this game. Also unbelievable Mike hit 2 clutch shots

Probably because we don't have a single big that can score and/or rebound.
-
I really thought EZ was going to do it.

Following defense is easy if you've played. That sounds dick'y as hell, but it's true. Especially if you played in a program or for a coach that emphasized defensive principles. I'm guessing line play in football is similar. I Only played football for one year and wasn't anywhere close to the o line.
As far as our offense, that's an easy explanation, oscar hadn't recruited or developed a big since Thqmas Giqson.
