what is it with the apparent inability to handle dogs without (attempted) lethal forcehttps://twitter.com/JoshuaPotash/status/1552447564372377600?s=20&t=al_Y5Q0mZLFwMKXwvhdVsA
a bit of divine justice, at long last.imagine what this world would be like with a full-time deity instead of this lazy rough rider we got stuck with.

probably not the right place to put it, but whatever, this is interesting to think about.a semi-related thing is how we try to prioritize pain-avoidance in how we treat animals rather than maximizing their time being alive. in some cases, this is just a function of the animal's purpose - we can't eat an animal and keep it alive, but we can try to kill it relatively painlessly. but we also do this for animals, like pets, where the animal's death isn't obligatory.https://twitter.com/AlecStapp/status/1557433133649350659
