on a serious note tho, i do like it when "comedians" do "serious" roles, because i think they're really good at it. i think most comedians can trace the roots of their craft to some type of defense mechanism or mask, to hide real emotions, etc., and sometimes when they get to do a really serious F'd up role, there's a lot of depth there. but as i mentioned earlier, there was nothing for steve carrell to do with this one.
