@makeitrain, you were 100% right and I was 100% wrong about Ertz. He's better than Klein and right up there with Ell. Watching him run is amazing. His passing has improved a ton. Let's enjoy this together.
ESPN TQBRIdk if I love this metric but I'll take it when it says nice things about our guy. ESPN claims TQBR accounts for the quality of opponent. Right now the Big XII has five of the top eight QBs. Kenny Hill is 28, Bender and Buchele are 93 and 95, respectively. Wgaf about Iowa State. The Vandy dude Schumer is #1.
I've been on the fence about Ertz since the beginning, but from my view the guy is just a bundle of nerves. It's pretty obvious he gets rattled on the road against teams with a pulse which contributes to the overthrows and procedural penalties. Of course our coaching staff doesn't help because it seems like they call the game without any regard to what is actually happening.

There isn't a Snyder 2.0 quarterback that I've been less hopeful about after one game than Ertz. Not Waters, Hubener, Sams, Klein, Coffman, or Gregory. Ertz often looked completely clueless. And sometimes looked like his legs aren't fully functional.
