I definitely believe that significant portions of the protest organization on many campuses were from out-of-town professional organizations, to Dax's point.  However, that happens on many topics and campus political efforts.  I can remember rocking the vote in the 90's per Adam Curry's and Down Town Julie Brown's encouragement. 

I suppose the real question is how Hamasy are those organizations?  Any sympathy for Hamas is worse than any sympathy for Israel, regardless of your beliefs.  Having said that, Israel's behavior provides ample reason for legitimate protests against them without aligning with Hamas.

Here's my non-political scientist guess on next steps:

1. Governor signs bill, and commandments must be displayed in public schools
2. Law gets struck down by federal court
3. Federal court affirmed by federal appellate court
4. Supreme court either decides NOT to hear it, or narrowly affirms federal court ruling
5. La conservatives push through crippling school voucher type programs for private schools, further crippling the budgets at their public schools and further solidifying the cycle of generational poverty and poverty related behavior/crime in their state.

AND...6. Working families burdened with choice of whether to endure economic hardship of private tuition or send kids to underfunded public schools.

My policy prior to 2014 (and after 2016) was to not pay attention unless they were in it after the all-star break.  This policy has saved me a TON of time of the course of my life, but these box scores of the Royals are hard to look away from.

The Iron Claw (2023) - 3/7 unreal story and Holt McCallany rules as usual. despite that, the movie is just not good. the acting talents of jeremy allen white are wasted. the tall skinny british brother is not a believable texas wrestler. also zac efron's face is too weird, idk what happened there.

I think Zac's face is HGH and roids, I bet.  I'd do the good roads and HGH if I could get the kind of access he had, and had the cash he has.

Just watched the 6 episodes of "Tires".   I wasn't expecting a whole lot but I did laugh as much as I have in awhile.  Can't believe there is a show that gets away with what they do in this day and age.  Strong buy!

i watched 10 minutes of episode one and turned it off

I tried it this past weekend and made it about 5 minutes.

Dune 2 - pretty, pretty good. Better than the first.

So good

Dune 2 was amazing. I had high expectations and it met or exceeded them. Great acting and the special effects were awesome, too.

Civil War was kind of meh.

Dune 2 is a must see where Civil War is more of a movie you can watch hammered late at night.

I thought Dune 2 was not good. Very very cheesy.
