Missing the UT game for niece's wedding.  Bride and groom are both KU grads.  Flashing the WC gang sign in the group photo.

So there were two fave memories from the Kats U./Tejax game last week. The first was when we punted in the second quarter to try to pin them back by the goal line. It was a beauty...bounced within the five yard line and should easily have been downed right near the goal line. Instead of going after it, though, we had 4 or 5 guys covering the guy nearby who was covering the punt, and they all just watched helplessly as the ball rolled into the end zone for a touchback.

Other fave moment from that game was at halftime. We had just had an absolutely pitiful first half, we were down 19-0, and we dropped a pass in the end zone as time expired. At halftime they recognized new inductees to the KSU Athletics Hall of Fame. The final inductee was Terence Newman, who couldn't be there in person so he sent in a video that they played over the jumbotron. At the end of his video, he signed off by saying something like, "Now, the only thing I ask is that we go out there and beat Texas." That notion was so unfathomable to everyone in the stadium that I actually hear audible laughter at the idea.
"walking around mhk and crying in the rain because of love lost is the absolute purest and best thing in the world.  i hope i fall in love during the next few weeks and get my heart broken and it starts raining just to experience it one last time."   --Dlew12

I'll never forget chatting with Reggie Walker about acid reflux and getting old. Highlight of the year.

When the Snyder clan turned on the media which, up until the past 10 days, had been the nicest people in the world to BS and his staff.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Burning a timeout on 4th and 5 against OSU only to comeback and attempt a 50+yard FG with our back-up kicker (punter) which falls well short.

Unfollowing the majority of the news coverage from Manhattan on Twitter when you move out of state for a few years and realize how small-timey it all is.

So true.  Moved up to Detroit area in Michigan for two years and saw what college football really was.  I drank the Wolverine Kool-aid and now am a secret Michigan fan.  I've moved back to Kansas for a job and now see how small-timey KSU/Manhattan is and how small-timey the Big 12 is.  It's disheartening.

just know that your coach (Har-blah) will leave for Kansas whenever that job comes open (wife from Olathe).

also know that little k-state laid the smack down on the gridiron (hard!) the last time we played mu.

There is definitely a difference at the big football schools, but K-State has several facilities that are on par with or equal to most big football schools.

Largest difference is the media coverage, there's no comparison.
