You'll be fine.  Don't postpone projects until the last minute, don't waste lots of time cramming for tests.

Meh... ridiculously is a bit of an overstatement.  I think it is more that by the time you get to the higher level engineering classes you are better at being a college student.  I can't speak for the chem classes (AP credit :gocho:) but the math and physics aren't really that bad.


Also, to get on topic (sorry Jake), I had 7 last night and woke up before my alarm, so maybe I only need 7.  I usually shoot for 8 though because sometimes it takes quite a while for me to fall asleep

The reason you had to pull all nighters in Arch. School is because you'd be on a nice schedule to finish your project up early and your teacher would come around about 3-4 days before your deadline and have you change a buch of crap on it.

It's called prepping you for the real world when demanding clients change their minds and then want everything fixed yesterday, it's also why the architecture school at K-State is one of the best.

Yeah, the pay sucks, that's because people don't want to pay for good design because they watched a couple of shows on the DIY/HGTV and think "Hey I could design something like that".

Wouldn't that mean that the only time you had to be in studio for long periods of time are the 3-4 days before your project is due?

There are a lot of steps to get from start to finish....You don't just start working on your final design from day 1.
There are deadlines for crits, model reviews plan reviews, you don't just get to prep for your final crit the entire semester.
You pretty much had a deadline every other week, plus whatever tests you have for your other classes.

I'll be the first to admit I didn't have exceptional time management skills.  Maybe I wasn't as smart as the rest of you.  But being dumb didn't mean party less, it meant sleep less.  I had a great time at KSU, don't regret a thing, and now I've got a really good job.
