Its hard to find much detail, probably because Miami is a private school. All the articles about him leaving did mention 3 mil and 2 years left, but I'm not sure that meant 1.5 mil per year.

Could be nothing. Could be that they didn't think on Monday that there would be a willingness to offer a high enough salary to attract a good coach and they heard by Wed that there will be a decent salary commitment.

in one of the earlier articles, it was mentioned that miami would waive any buyouts, allowing haith to leave without penalty. so i don't see how 3 million over 2 years isn't something more or less like 1.5/year.

This is not because I don't like John Currie or anything but I would really like to offset the GPC - Be Nice To John Currie Via Email If Frank Leaves campaign that's getting it's wheels moving as we speak. This is what I'm leaning towards. Spread the meltdown over a longer period of time. Might help prevent one major, regrettable decision if I don't.
