Bigger disparity than I thought. I expected Duke, just toss them out, K is an institution, and lil Stoops is pushing $3 million a year at Kentucky.

Forget your hatred of Zenger and BGL. I want to hear best case scenarios. What if everything goes right scenarios.

For example- what if some major big money donors step up and the fund raising exceeds everyones expectations. Then the architects come up with some phenomenal plans for Memorial. And then other things start to swing KU's way. Over at that other school to the west, LHC Bill Snyder retires for good and little Snyder struggles as head coach. K-State becomes a 4 or 5 win team. The glory days are over. Meanwhile Beaty has turned the program around. Suddenly KU has a resurgent fan base and a competitive team playing in the best, most modern stadium in the state. Sellouts become common and the team goes to bowl games several years in a row.

That is what I think is going to happen.

Talked to a KU buddy of mine yesterday about the hawks upcoming season. He didn't even want to talk aboit it. I tried talking them up and saying nice things, but all he said was "the only way I'll pay attention to KU football is if they win the first 3 games. Then I might just go see one, but probably not."

I seem to remember them reporting on the fact that KState dominated them in football and the head football coach being very angry about the article. If we can give any credit to those young 'journalists in training' over in Lawrence, they aren't burdened by a bias built out of hatred for KState Cat football.
