pretty par for the course recruiting wise. hope the Juco LB is great.
pretty par for the course recruiting wise. hope the Juco LB is great.well he's on campus early so he's already one up on our last big juco lb dvonta derricott that we signed
One of the recruiting guys on 810 this week said he was told by a HC at a D1 program that: "if you really wanna know where a recruit is going, just see who they followed last on twitter." :crossfingers:
Well, either we are not getting anymore recruits, or the fax machine broke down at 8:40
He following damn near half of our class;) :)
Chabastin was supposed to sign at 10 AM
Not a surprise here

First and foremost, he's committed and signed with K-State. That much we already knew and the football program confirmed that much with the public back in December when they Tweeted out his joining the program.
However, he's not on campus.
Even though Xavier told me he was all set to be there in January and his coaches at Pima said the same thing, even as recently as this morning, the defensive end is nowhere near Manhattan as of today.
I'm told from two separate sources that he still has some classwork to touch up on and he's now expected to arrive in the summer.
Talking to his former defensive coordinator, Pat Ryden, of Pima CC this morning, he reiterated to me once again how raw Davis is as a player. In his mind, he thought it would've been better had the defensive end played this season but he got some "bad advice" from Oregon State (back when he was committed there) to take a year off and save it for the next level. So, when you couple that statement with the news of today that he's going to arrive late (maybe deeper into July/August depending on his course load - who knows) I wouldn't be nearly as high on his expectations as some have been lately. The whole "#1 player in this class" as he's been dubbed in some publications is a big stretch for a player who hasn't played in a year.
All along I've wondered if this is another case of Aulelio Olomua because something just doesn't seem legit about Davis. Today only reaffirms that belief I've had.

it might be a signing ceremony with a bunch of other athletes at his school. he tweeted out "Go Cats" in his signing announcement so I'm less worried than I was.

WRONG! Payne is.Chabastin has been signed
Unless we sign Walker or Green, he's the best player in this class IMO
Just noticed K-State Football's official Twitter has Goodwater labeled as a WR. Is that news, or am I just late to the party?

espn is still down :sdeek: it's been down all day
Probably the biggest Signing Day shocker in my time covering this recruiting beat. Nobody I talked to, even within the last hour, had him going to K-State. NOBODY.
I will say this and I can't express it enough: There are some academic issues with Green. I don't know if it will be as big a deal getting into K-State as it might've been with Utah or Ole Miss (which could be a reason why they weren't chosen by him) but it may still be a hurdle. Just warning you in case his entry to campus takes a little while.

Make that three different people who have now expressed to me that they feel confident Elijah Walker will re-commit and sign with Kansas State later today.
bumped our rivals ranking from 67 to 61
:billdance:
back to 63, still last in the big 12,
If someone unexpected signs with us it is always for one of two reasons:
1. No respectable school wanted them
2. They aren't going to qualify
Man... got all kinds of chest bumping around the office this afternoon about KU out recruiting KSU this year and how they just landed some stud juco RB and we (KSU) are mumped. T's and P's. :sdeek:
Elijah Walker is a KSU cat

Over the years I've come to accept that Bill will just work his Snyder juju on every class. This takes a lot of the excitement out of recruiting, but also relieves the stress as well.

He still underperformed for his career tho. I had hope! He was serviceable.
He also really liked Braden Wilson as an NFL prospect. He's clueless. If you're saving any questions for The Manhatter you might as well ask me.
