K-State has 4 permanent sports venues without video/LED displays. Now, it is a little dumb IMO that neither B-ball nor V-ball have VB's considering how "down market" high quality video displays are these days. But with that said the current set-up of the baseball stadium, track, and new soccer fields would make it very easy to have a mobile video board truck. Simply create a spot at all venues to pull fiber and power to, roll up and plug in. For example a spot to roll the truck up to and hoist the board up over the left field wall at TFS could easily be done, for the soccer field you wouldn't even have to leave the drive between the fields and TFS, the outdoor track is easily accessible as well. You could put all kinds of K-StateO signage on the truck, and the software and necessary apps for each sport for statistics, event finishes (track) and such all already in the can and readily available from vendors. K-State doesn't host that many outdoor track meets, but when the conference meet rolls back around, you just bring the truck in. Obviously the truck would be the better choice, not the skanky trailer, you could even put it in the parking lot on football game days to show promotional stuff, other games etc. etc. With HD video panels coming way down market and with the modular nature of the panels you could get years of use out of it.
