I love UT, I loathe Tom Herman.
I could never post on a board of tucks who still believe Snyder teams don’t get penalized and ditrs are how you win big time games in ‘18.
Skylar just seem so ertzy, but with worse WRs.
The dollar amounts there are shockingly lowSo far it looks like current players might be done and coaches and schools walk? Obviously it’s early
Nope, for most of these amounts there would be a suspension imposed and the player would have to pay the amount back. This is what happened with Jake and Curt. Also happened with a ku basketball player at the beginning of the season a couple of years ago, don't remember which one. Josh Jackson? Embiid?
Yep. I imagine the compliance people at all of these schools are scrambling right now to figure out what to do. They've probably been doing it a while though, I imagine most knew something was going to drop, it was just a matter of when it would happen.
If you really wanna see what purgatory was/is, you should of tried watching K-state basketball pre Huggins, now that was really a kick in the nuts. Frank had some questionable bubble teams as well that had to rally late in the season to make the tourney. Acting like you're watching a team fight to make the tournament isn't something new with just oscar.
If you have watched juco players transition to high major, many of them do not start to perform until their second year. Mawien is coming on now. In a year or two, he will be the best post man we have had in 25 years. Better than Gip and better than DJamer. (DJs injuries his last year lowered his level of play.)
Mawiens defense is already excellent.
He gets in foul trouble but is slowly improving in that area. If you remember Dean Wades first year, you know it takes a little while for a big man to learn how to be aggressive without fouling.
He will become a legitimate threat from three in the near future. (If he could not make a three, Weber would not allow him to take them.) Just needs to get used to taking them with 10,000 people and the pressure of a high measure game.
Wainright may also start coming on during the rest of the Big 12 season.
Going opening weekend of NCAA bball tourney. Might hit Phoenix en route for some Royals and golf.
But alas, it appears they don’tI’m firmly team MIR here. This is small-timely and very whiny. Auburn had a legitimate argument in 2004 and even they didn’t pretend they won a titlewhy compare auburn to ucf? ucf knows it’s place in this world
When I think of Ron Prince, "old school" is the first attribute that comes to mind.
cheating on all your significant others and being a total wildman. can't take the junction city out of the boy. true story, i saw ronnie at the jc cracker barrel right after his mom died. he was with some random squeeze. believe it was the weekend of the 2014 ou game bc i visited kansas for that. 17 degrees and an 11 am kick. beat ice off the seats in the top row east side. emaw.
It's truly amazing how quickly I've grown to hate Whisker Biscuit's tuck-ass bullshit
We own the longest streak in the country of consistently sending players to the NFL and yet we still have people shitposting about a lack of talent.
You clearly don't pay any attention to the recruiting rankings. our talent sucks. 2-3 star guys only. no 4-5 stars. only got 5 players on all big 12 first team this year. fire everyone associated with recruiting and hire some "good" recruiters that sign players the web nerds think are good.
Bishop does not play for ou, Dlew12
mike stoops appears to be ok with it.Brent has the best resume of any assistant coach (that has not been a head coach) in entire college football community.
Like anyone with the best resume to be a CEO (that has not been a CEO) in the entire industry they're applying for.
Now whether these people are the best fit, is a different angle.
Your point about Brent is true. Why don't you consider your last sentence when pushing your anti-seanite agenda?
I mean, I could honestly get behind Sean if you told me his staff beforehand. And it was a quality P5 staff, with quality minds and proven recruiters. My whole anti-sean stance is moreso based on that, his staff. Like he gets the CEO spot, who would be willing to come in and work under someone they believe they're more qualified than? K-State would more than likely have to catch lightning in a bottle with unproven coordinators by promoting position coaches and I think it's a recipe for disaster.
My sources are pretty good. Lol Close on ASU was in works too. Just watch the other rumors fall into place.
Doubling down. I like your style, Markome.
KSO has a thread with rumors of Bobby Stoops building a house in MHK. Would assume for his boys to live in and they can stay there when they visit or something? Maybe they'll be walkons or even on schollie? Could be trolling?
Either way, would be neat if they had an extra room for Jake Venables. That would be a fun house.
P.S. I love rumors. I think it's all we have with K-State football.
Venables is wise beyond his years IMO. Most people could use the same kind of clarity with their careers. I have no doubt Venables would be offered and would take a HC job if he felt he had all the resources he needed AND would not get forced out by year 3 or 5 if he’s not winning 10 games or conference championships. It makes complete sense not to want to leave a $1 million+ per year job where you’re doing what you love without the bureaucratic BS and constant scrutiny.
It would be easier for him to get this if he took a job like UCF. If, in fact, Venables wants to be a head coach, he should look at someone like Scott Frost and Willie Taggart as to how to build a career. Both of those guys were playing when Brent was coaching, they took coordinator positions, turned them into very good group of 5 jobs, did well with them to get great, high paying P5 jobs. These guys went from the field to jobs at Nebraska and Florida State while Brent has been a defensive coordinator.
An argument made frequently against Sean is that he shouldn't get the K-State job if it's the only one he can get. That's a fair criticism but it should be equally applied. I'm sorry but it appears as if K-State is the absolute ceiling of job that Brent is getting and I view his unwillingness to take a job ready made for success, like UCF, a giant red flag.
Wait is this game at the baseball stadium???
Yeah, all the football stadiums are already taken.
