my boy Kona.

My little guy passed away last week at 16. He was such a character and made me chuckle every day, but he was deaf and lost his sight over the last 6 months, so it was really his time to move on. I'm just thankful we didn't have to put him down and he was able to die in my arms on his own terms at home.
Sorry to hear that. 16 years is a great life.

it’s hard to believe that inside the nba is coming to an end.  it is the best pre/post game show of any sport.

i had no idea that warner bros - discovery was $40b in debt
I’m devastated

I pay zero attention to nba games in the regular season but that show is my dvr play when I’m cooking or folding laundry and it is incredible content. Just crushed

I'm watching Dark Matter, which is a new Apple TV show. The story is interesting but the cast worries me. They're somewhat notable but I haven't been a fan of previous stuff that the lead has been in.
Book is pretty good

Yeah. One thing to live it on your own time. Another to say it to a captive audience

my grandpa used to have a giant tank of roundup on his 3 wheeler and one in a pickup and on days when there "wasn't as much to do" he drove around and round upp'd all his fence lines to keep cedar out!

But they made good fence posts when there were no trees anywhere
I ask this with all due respect and seriousness…did he die of cancer? Lot of those guys who were exposed to Roundup 24/7/365 have.

Amazingly no cancer.  Grandpa was pretty amazingly forward thinking though and a rule follower, he never used leaky/broken equipment, got conservation plaque's for soil and water stuff that he did to improve erosion etc.

And he farmed/ranched under 1000 acres.  So everything he was doing was scaled down quite a bit from what guys out West do.

I know Ed, Great guy, still looks like he could jump.

Some of the Small towns have really good coaches and programs, club track is becoming pretty big as well allowing kids to compete year round.

There is so much technique involved especially in the field events that can give kids a gigantic edge so if they have physical ability they can really perform at a very high level.

Maybe I'm not sure of the definition of scampi, but that looks quite similar to the garlic, butter, white wine (and basil) shrimp pasta I made last weekend? What is scampi?
Tell me you’ve never been to red lobster, without telling me you’ve never been to red lobster

@waks and I smashed waldo thai with a little help from mrs mocat

This is what Mrs. Stevesie and I had for our anniversary dinner. That crap is delicious. Maybe it will be our anniversary tradition! I'll let you know!
What was the best?

My prime rib last week was so tender and juicy that I kept thinking it had a sous vide quality that IYKYK.

Apparently they wood roast until a certain temp and then hold it in a steam oven that maintains temp and moisture akin to sous vide.

I had not been in probably 2 years and I left asking myself why it had been so long.
I got carry out from the one on metcalf sunday before last and wondered why I didn’t just go to longhorn
I’ve only ever gotten prime rib with a baked potato

You're making a mistake sleeping on that Cowboy Ribeye (admittedly I have not had this in years)
that’s what i got, it was not good.
Well

If you’re hungry and don’t feel a ton of shame get the prime rib.

The best part is when you understand that substantial portions of many sports venues are below grade.

The lower seating bowl of Arrowhead is a "hole in the ground".

The lower level of T-Mobile Center is a . . . "hole in the ground"

probably every single one built after WWII
