lol. No. Also, She doesn't want me to be there right now per se, but she wants to hear that I'm motivated enough to someday want to get in that range. She kept brining up that we make over 100K combined right now and we can't afford to do anything fun with our bills. <-------(This is not true. I'm being responsible and saving my money).

You do plenty of fun stuff, you just do it here. Don't be fooled by some high profile life she thinks other people are living. I went to school with kids from her family and not one of them had been around the world and unless they hit the powerball or the price of baked beans goes up by $10,000 a qt, they never will be. I mean, she had a used Altima that was decent but I sure never got her confused with the kids with real money.

Just get a handle on perception v. reality and you'll be fine

"Getting to $85 k" is not that crazy or big of a goal.
Your fiancé 'requiring' it as a condition on your future together is.

At some point, family money gets diluted over a crap load of kids/cousins. You end up with entitlement without much money. Not saying that happened here, but it happens.

Yeah, but I bought this lemon like 4 years ago and I just can't let go since it's paid off and only at 127,000 miles. It should be good to go for another year after this, I hope.
