As of right now not making it to the pepper is going to feel like a disappointment. Unless it's some weird 4 way tie situation cause of how many teams there are.

The wildcard is the OL.  If they are decent I don't see how anyone beats us.

Utah didn't beat a single team that finished the year ranked in the top 25 and had two wins against teams that finished with winning records (UCLA & USC, both 8-5). And, they lost by 14+ points to three of the four teams they played that did finish the year ranked.

I think they'll finish in the upper third, but seems odd to me to predict them as the champs given that they'll be in a new conference, playing in new stadiums, dealing with different travel scenarios, etc. coupled with the fact that they weren't particularly great last year.

FWIW, I will be rooting against Utah in every game except the Holy War.

10-2 or 11-1.

I'm rooting for us to lose to Arizona in our OOC game then finish higher then them in the Big12 standings by 1 game and go to the Dr pepper while they watch at home.

Bonus points if we finish tied with the same conference record but win the conference tie breakers to go over them.

My preference is 13-0 and a bye in the inaugural 12 team CFP.

There will be a surprise team on the Cats schedule that could pose a problem.  Everyone is on the Utah and KU bandwagons, those are the two key teams I'm focusing on, even though we won't play Utah, and have KU at home.  We also have Okie State at home.  Those are the teams that could pose problems for us.  A team that I would welcome have K-State shove a brick up their sphincters is Iowa State, but we play them in Ames.

Do you not think they would change the tiebreakers with 2 games to go?  lol

every year I come out of the blocks saying this will be the best OL we’ve had in decades but every year they start  slow and seem to have weird ups and downs under Ol’ Ham & Potatoes

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

It is a bit daunting realizing the left side of our OL were both NFL guys and so was the TE. At least we return 3 guys that played a ton last year and a grad transfer to play LT.
