Ready to watch my zombie porn (TWD) in a week. I'm not too enthralled by the characters (they're almost all Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) and most of their actions are just inexplicable) or even most of the events, but I find the setting to be pretty awesome. The writers/director are really good at evoking a sense of dread and just a completely bleak, hopeless landscape and I love it.
They pretty much suck at everything else, but I'm really only using this is a stopgap before Mad Men starts up again
That is one of the worst descriptions of The Walking Dead I have ever read. Mostly because pretty much everything about it is wrong.
Show me an intelligent, rational, well-written (or hell, even consistently-written) character with depth and multiple dimensions on that show and then we can talk.
They're all dumpster fires. The only ones I can be assed to care about at all are Rick and Carl, and the only other one that's even remotely interesting is the Governor. Micchone was supposed to be cool, from what my comic book nerd fellows tell me, but they ruined her by telling us absolutely nothing about her and having her just scowl at everyone all the rough ridin' time.
Atmosphere=great, and the show itself is occasionally brilliant. The episode with the shootout in the bar was rough ridin' awesome. The characters are forgettable and I don't really care what happens to most of them.
