You prob already have a place, but if not, find the cheapest place on the strip with a nice pool.  Good place: Excalibur.  You won't be in your room much and the pool is fantastic.

Also, see if Purple Reign is playing (Prince Tribute band), they may still do the House of Blues on Sunday nights .  They also have a tribute Morris Day and Jerome.  Best $10 show you'll ever see.

Finally, get into trouble and all, but never, I repeat NEVER eff with the LVPD.  Those guys don't eff around.

Go to Caesar's Palace and walk around the shop until you find the Cheesecake Factory.  Once there, wait until the hour is upon you because on the hour every hour, there is an anaimatronic robot show that tells the story of the fall of Atlantis or some bullcrap.  You won't care about the storyline (I've seen it five different times and still can't tell what's going on), but you will care very much about the pyrotechnics and the huge robot pterodactyls.  When the show is finished, enjoy looking at the other onlookers' puzzled expressions of  .  Then, you start a comical slow clap.

Also go to Bite at the Stratosphere.  It's a topless vampire show that has no spoken lines but tells a (totally bullcrap) "story" through a constant stream of 70's, 80's, and early 90's rock music.

Also go to the Rockhouse Bar right in front of the Imperial Palace casino.  There you will be able to spend $35 on a 100 oz. dacquiri to split with three friends.  Pay a couple extra bucks to get the extra shots poured in.  It's worth it.  In fact, maybe this should come first and then go see the robot 'dactyls and topless vampire broads.

Not a lot to do, imho. Kinda have to 'make your own fun.' If you are from KS this will be easy. Maybe go on a crop tour outside of town or do something funny to mailboxes in suburbia. There's gambling, but you can't win, so what's the point? Pool scene is prob the best thing about the town. Can go on walkabout looking for celebs while drunk, just don't get run over.
Fly, Eddie. Fly.

Ooh, nice outfit. What is that, Dacron?

Who gets a room in Vegas? Vegas is for 48-hour coke-fueled benders while charging drinks to Room 3032 at a hotel bar and gambling with the money you steal from the hooker you beat up behind said hotel.

OK, I'm going for the first time in one week for a bach party.

I'm looking to be as cheap as possible.

how do I make it?

What do I HAVE to do?

I'm going Sat morning and coming back Monday afternoon.  Staying at MGM.

I need cheap good food places and tricks to get drinks.  Planning on taking 600 dollars and spending most of it.

get a 30 pack of coors light or something and just fill your pockets wherever you go.  WHEREVER YOU GO.

Also, wake up really early and make everyone go to Rubios in the Monte Carlo food court.  Required.

I know a guy who says that when he goes to Vegas, he goes to the roulette wheel and puts $5 and red and $5 on black. He says that since he's gambling, they bring him free drinks and he only loses $10 whenever the wheel comes up green. I've never tried this myself and I can't imagine that the drinks come that often, but if you're down to your last $10, it might be worth a shot.

Tell us what's already set on the agenda for the bachelor party and what time you need to fill with cheapness.  That'll make it easier to give direction.

If a group of you is flying to Vegas for a guy's bachelor party, I'd think there's going to be some stuff lined up where cheap isn't an option.

You're pretty much set then.  In your downtime, gamble lightly and get liquored up for free or tote your own beer around like Rusty said.

O'sheas.

Vegas pro tip: Some hotel bars allow you to charge drinks to your room. Not all hotels verify what room you're actually staying in, but will check to make sure the room is occupied. A good one might have a gigantic French landmark outside. Just saying.  :drink:

This guy sounds like an unbelievable loser.  If I wanted to stand somewhere doing nothing but drinking really cheap I'd go to my brothers house.

Drinks at the pool are going to be very expensive but some pools will let you bring your own drinks in if you aren't toting a cooler around or being obnoxious about it.  Learn to play pai gow.  It's a very cheap way to gamble and pretty fun.  Walk over to NYNY and report back on what they are putting in where the ESPN Zone used to be.  Check out the new City Center and it's casino.  Meet up with A-Lish.  There is a place in Mandalay Bay called Burger Bar that has really great burgers and is very cheap.  You will get lost in MGM at least one night.  It's about the size of Manhattan.

One time at Monte Carlo I tried to be obnoxious about it and they told me I could only bring six in at a time but they let me keep the 30 pack at the entrance.  I may have been slightly inebriated.

There are blackjack tables outside at Harrahs which you can sometimes find a $5 table at and they have a band usually and it seems to have a better vibe than the inside of the casinos in the middle of the night.  If you are a beer drinker they have the 16oz. aluminum bottles they bring around which is nice.  Those poor waitresses are so used to trash not tipping them that you give them a buck every time they bring you a beer they will come around constantly.  Like Trim said, O'Sheas is really fun and trashy.  You guys should go to at least one nice/expensive restraunt while you're there imo.  Some of the best food in the world is in Vegas.  Unless this is, like, a get a limo/boobie bar/rowdy type of bachelor party in which case you prolly don't want to.

Honestly? The Monte Carlo should prolly be sucking your dick for anyone staying there and gracing the pool with their presence.  Still pretty nice of them I guess.  Caesars would let us buy our drinks just inside the doors of the casino at one of those little quick shops they have everywhere.  It was just as close as the pool bar and was about 1/4 the price.  But, still more expensive than going to Walgreens or whatever.

It's your first time.  You're going with a bunch of bros on what implicitly should be a once-in-a-lifetime trip for the guy getting married.  Bring a grand and have a great time.  You've got sunk cost going out there.  Don't pass up one of the fantastic dinners sd mentioned because you saw a Denny's on the other side of the street.

80% of Caesars rooms are much nicer and less smelly.  But, they prolly are nicer than low budget caesar rooms we got put in.  Which, according to Pete, were built for f***ing.
