Going to LA tomorrow. Couple days of checking out Hollywood, beaches, and architecture (Getty Center and Bradbury Building, probably more). San Diego zoo for a day followed by dinner and drinks downtown. Then four days of Disneyland.

Check out the walking tours the LA preservation society does, https://www.laconservancy.org/walking-tours

If you're messing around the hollywood/highland area Davey Wayne's is a fun spot to try out for a happy hour drink, http://www.timeout.com/los-angeles/bars/good-times-at-davey-waynes

Go to dinner at Poseidon or Jakes on the Beach then go downtown.  They are next door and right on the beach.  Either will do.  Call ahead and see if you can get a table on either patio.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

Unfortunately our Saturday is already booked, but I'm definitely going to check out Davey Wayne's, that place sounds awesome.

Got a table at Jake's on the patio during sunset. Should be awesome, thanks for the tip.

there are like dozens of theme parks in the Orlando area - Disney has 4 or so, then you add in Sea World, Legoland and Universal Studio and like 3 or 4 different water parks.  Also tons of miniature golf and other random kid oriented crap, it is pretty amazing.  You could spend weeks there and be able to do something different every day if you really wanted.

SD, your wife may already know all this but the one pro tip I have is to see if they are doing any private parties at Magic Kingdom when you are there.  They were doing "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween" when we were there and basically they kick out everybody that paid $100 for a the regular day ticket at 7 pm and only people that paid around $60 for the private party get to stay.  There was no waiting for anything but the new 7 Dwarves ride.

The private party ticket also gets you into the park at 4 pm, so it is roughly half price for a better experience as I can't stand waiting in line.

Also, the Disney Animal Kingdom sells beer :beersmiley:

lil sd goes to bed at like 7 PM so that evening stuff is probably not going to happen. We'll just be the first people on those rides whenever they open since he wakes up around 6:30 AM.

That reminds me of Frankfurt.  We were picked up by a bus on the tarmac and then took a seemingly 10 mile drive to the terminal and before getting on a tram for a two mile ride to the right gate.

if you fly lufty 1st you get picked up in a porsche or mercedes and don't have to pile in with the back of the bus'ers.
