SD will you plan a Disney trip for me?  I don't care which one or really how much it costs (for the most part).  I want to go in 2017 and will be taking 2 monsters under 5.  Should I go to FL or CA?  Do I stay at the resort or use my billion Marriott points? Where else should I go while there? My only criteria for the trip is that I want to have some fun, be able to drink beers, and not wait too long in huge lines.  The most important part of my criteria is the last thing.  I know it will be crowded, but I want to go when it is less crowded. I will pay to avoid this.  Also, what is your opinion on a Disney cruise?  I have zero interest in any cruise of any sort, but someone told me a good Disney cruise is great because the character weirdos are just walking around everywhere and you don't have to wait in line to see them like you do at the parks and that is what less than 5 year olds want to do anyway.  Plus the booze.

TIA

Still have like 900k or something from when I traveled for work. I don't anymore so I'm a little stingy with them. They go pretty fast and I don't recoup them anymore.

Yep, I traveled for about 8 years around 100 nights a year. Glad I don't do it that much anymore but I miss blowing points or giving them away knowing I would get them back soon.  Now I'll actually have to use my churning points for hotel stays.

they fly to a lot of great places and with the widest domestic seats, the best boarding policy of all carriers, and best rewards program, flying swa makes the most sense

Not May and whichever other month is less busy.

All of the months I listed have weeks with low crowds. Early Nov, the week after thanksgiving, and this week are great. Some of Sep and Oct are great. You can book a baller suite here for 20k-24k SPG + $150 a night (actually a bit fewer points than that because fifth night free). It'll have two bedrooms, huge dining and living area, three bathrooms, multiple balconies, on Disney property.

I'd have an anxiety attack seeing those beloved SPGs vanish at that rate :frown:

So that's About 75k Marriott points a night then??? That's not bad, I guess. It's obv early but we are looking to go next year since it will be the last year before the kids start school and also my last year of having the companion pass. I'll def reach out for more deets. Thanks

I'm very excited to stay in the cheapest room possible at the Swan resort next time I visit WDW. Still a bunch of SPG points, but I've never stayed on property before, and I'm very much looking forward to it. All thanks to SD and this thread for opening my eyes to benefits of playing the CC points game.

Yeah, you could get a 1 bedroom suite for 10-12k plus $150 a night. Keep in mind a 1 bedroom suite at either of the other 2 resorts in the same spot will set you back about $600 a night. A 2 bedroom is usually $1k+.

Is there a service where you can just rent a kid so you have an excuse to go?
