Quite frankly, KU hoops is interesting in general to college bball fans. I mean KU tends to have a lot of off-the-court drama, they play an exciting brand of basketball, and they have a big personality for a coach.

Like others have stated, analyzing the the general psyche of ku T-Shirt fan nation is really quite fun.
When incidents like the Tharpe situation arise it's fantastic to analyze the differences as to who gets tossed under the bus by ku T-shirt fan nation and who gets protected at all costs by ku T-shirt fan nation.
You can see the angst, the soul searching, the internal rage, the external rage, the affirmation and the validation; it's a fantastic study.

My gf (squawk) asked me this weekend why her fanbase hates other blue bloods so much? I had to explain to her that it's a jealousy thing. If the Kentucky and Duke's of the world continue to win the whole thing, it puts them further behind historically. I had to explain to her how smoked their program has been with all the early tourney exits lately. Sad really. I think she was a little upset about it.

I guess I want UConn to win. I like it when a Cinderella team makes it deep in the tournament, and I always root for them, but it's really only fun when they have to play a good team. A 7 vs an 8 in the final really doesn't do much for me. I just wish somebody better were in the game.

Obviously you couldn't say that, but you might be able to say that we improved on it. When the dribble handoff produces a good shot, then it just looks like a dribble handoff. But, there are multiple options on the play designed to get a shooter a good look. I mean, Self seems to imply that they made it up:
“We made it up,” Self told the Journal-World Monday, asked about the creation of the play.
“It was in 2006 or ’07. We were trying to figure out as many options as we could to score on a play to give us as many three-point options as possible. That’s what we came up with. I remember the first day we put it in. I’m like, ‘Well, gawd-dang, this works,’” Self added.
Asked about the play showing up in game plans all over the land, Self said: “I haven’t heard what anybody is calling it or anything like that. I would think a lot of people run some form of it, yes.”
Asked why it was named “Chop,” Self said: “You could say we did it for the Kansas City Chiefs (tomahawk chop).”
Seriously ... “We make our calls (signals) above our shoulder. We were running out of calls. It was the one thing left. We said, ‘Give the chop sign,’” Self said.

Can someone recap the ku "The NCAA Tourney is a joke" threads and social media proclamations.
I'll try and bullet point what we've had set forth over the last few years by the phog in regards to the NCAA tourney:
-Mid Majors should not be allowed into the tourney.
-The tourney should be double elimination.
-There should only be a 16 team tourney (double elimination).
-Moving to another conference will help ku play better in the NCAA tourney. (this seems like an odd one to me, particularly considering that ku lost @Texas, @KSU, @OSU, @WVU, needed a last second shot to beat @TT, only beat OSU by 2 @ home, and got beat by ISU in KC. That's 5 losses to Big 12 teams in 20 games, and two other narrow escapes. How much tourney prep you want? Pummeled during the regular season and on the bubble? That would cause a Chernobyl style meltdown within ku T-Shirt nation. Not to mention their non-conference schedule).
What am I missing?
