Elon made note of him providing internet to a few countries with starlink and that he thinks pairing that with twitter could have some interesting applications.

It would be pretty cool if he took individual countries out of the consideration and opened twitter completely wide to all users worldwide. For example, what happens in the Middle East if their citizens have zero restrictions on twitter and the countries have no ability to shut the internet down?  Intriguing.
I don’t see those things as really being related. If Musk can provide filter free internet to those areas via starlink then they’d have plenty of applications available to them to speak freely. Truth Social, for example.

The democratic party is pretty pro-corpo, anti-rock the boat. The republican party is at the mercy of low income racists because they have embraced populism.

Yes but the poor racist Republicans don’t identify as Pubs. They say they’re independent free thinkers or libertarians who would vote for any “common sense” candidate who promises to end immigration. (And makes them feel like they’re not disgusting humans)

you can definitely increase the value of twitter past 44B by giving free internet to saudi dissidents to tweet for free also.

They are related in that I have heard Jack Dorsey say that Twitter is moderated(may not be right word) differently in different countries for different level of sensorship.  Put that on top of that most countries have the ability to shut the internet traffic in their country down as of now.  If you take twitter, remove those individual considerations for each country, and provide an internet that can't be shut down, interesting things will most likely happen in countries with oppressive regeimes.

If I was Elon, and had no other way to make a crap ton of revenue off of a very expensive recent investment, I would sell those countries the ability to keep that power and I would sell it for wild amounts.

I think providing free internet via Starlink probably would cost Elon more than the amount of revenue Twitter would generate.

If he is, this is new, supposedly.  Last week he said he had been doing it on Starlink's dime and that the govt needed to pick up the cost.  I think he was told to get mumped and he said he would keep it going.  I may be wrong.

The government has picked up the cost from day 1 and Elon was wanting even more government money.

It’s better to let people show their ass out in the open imo.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

With Elon it is important to understand that he often says things with complete disregard as to whether or not they are true.

Yeah, it's the poors party.
Sure, I think progressives would happily adopt that title.

You know who else favored poor people? Jesus.

Immigrants too. Basically today’s version of the Republican Party is firmly against everything Jesus said.
