So why wasn't all this cash used on the Gridiron Club (coming 2010)?
Beems needs to chill out. The crushing weight of our impending Triple Crown is driving him mad with rage.
Its not so bad being dominated by KSU in athletics. Ask every other school in the Big 12.
In 2010, KU had just finished spending over $100 million on AFH and the surrounding athletic facilities. Then the ticket scandal surfaced, the football team tanked, and Perkins/Mangino resigned. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why KU cancelled its Gridiron Club project at the time. Now with the new Rock Chalk Sports Complex set to be finished by next spring, KU will be able to upgrade the football stadium and do it right.
As for the Big 12, KU has nine straight Big 12 titles and has won multiple conference championships in other sports this season as well. K-State hasn't clinched baseball yet and in basketball we swept your pud little team in three games. The signing of Wiggins just puts into perspective how small-time and insignificant K-State is compared to big bro. You guys will be lucky to sign a 4-star prospect with Weber at the helm. Enjoy backing into the co-championship now, because this is as good as it's going to get for K-State athletics.
