last september we had two celebrity guest columnists, bringonthecats and wildfratcountry, write a blog for our readers called "What To Wear On Game Day" link- http://goEMAW.com/blog/?p=1200
the blog was mostly met with a warm reception. i use the words "mostly met with" because there was one lone voice of dissension, and that voice belonged to Vaughn Scribner (reference blog comments #2 and #9).
This is the most elitist, condescending, uppity post I’ve ever read. As an alumni, I’m ashamed that it’s associated with KSU.

I have to wonder, does Scribner want our blog deleted because he's starting up his own fashion blog which, by the way, was obviously taken word for word from ours.
as usual when these types of things come up, we at goEMAW, at the direction of BSAC, allow our readers to comment and provide the guidance that this bbs was founded upon. if the board decides we should yield our fashion blog to Vaughn Scribner and allow his fashion blog to replace ours, than so be it. i personally don't think that's the direction we should go but let's leave this one in the bbs's hands folks.
i'm going to close this post by saying that vaughn scribner seems to have a very good handle on the fashion world and if it's deemed necessary (by our bbs community) that our blog post comes down, kansans will be in good hands with his blog. it's fashion first and we should always be cognizant of that fact.
so let us know, what's your take?
whatever the outcome, i hope that goEMAW and mr.scribner can continue to be loyal friends and blog together in fashion harmony.

this is exactly my view as well.
i'm glad he's into fashion, and i'm glad he ISN'T a wildcat anymore (he's a squawk).
but what it really boils down to is that Scribner is wanting to steal our idea for a fashion blog and then capitalize off of our hard work.
i can't speak for wildfratcountry or bringonthecats, but they put a lot of time and effort into starting a kansas fashion blog and now scribner wants to erase it all like it was all his idea because he wants to rap about shoes? listen scribner, we have threads about shoes here too. maybe we should get an injunction against you?
i'm confused at this point and feel like scribner cannot be trusted.

yeah there is. it's called a "merger". i was a business major as a freshman and sophomore before switching to mass comm last semester. i suppose that is another option but i'd have to research it a little more. it was a tues/thurs am class that i learned about it and i was usually pretty blotto for the thursday classes after wed night aggieville two for ones so i don't remember much about them.

I am not opposed to this, per se, but it appears Vaughn Scribner just regurgitates what has been written here at goEMAW.com in both "casual shoe" thread and in the "fashion" thread so, if we turned it over to him, would he even have any original thoughts/advice? Our readers deserve the fashion advice that is collaboratively created here, not some cut and paste rehash.
Just my thoughts, obviously others will be making this call.

I'm not so sure. Another thing that bugs me is this is not only a guy who is clearly parasitic with regards to goEMAW, our blogs, and our posts, he's also dishonest. His first post in the blog commentary was dismissive to the fashion forward attitude of the excellent blog work done by WFC and BOTC. I mean, how can you denounce the views of our blog in one breath and then extol them, in your own clog, with the next?
Something doesn't seem right.
That isn't even mentioning the fact that this is a guy who's fetish addiction is so severe that he can't even take the time to pick up the kids from school or go home to unwind before hitting the porn store. I'm just honestly confused about what's changed for Vaughn Scribner between 2011 and 2012. He's obviously a very fashionable guy as of August 2012. But eleven months ago, Vaughn Scribner thought fashion was "uppity" and apparently held dear to cargo shorts. All jokes aside, this is actual, genuine confusion on my part.

Sounds like, BOTC and WFC are being put on notice. This impending article better be very hard-hitting stuff. Lucky for these two, I have it on good authority these sophomore journalism majors are regular staff writers for the campus greek newspaper, The Odyssey, and have been featured several times in the Kansas State Collegian's "Edge" section.
But this is their biggest test yet.
Can these two rising journalism stars accomplish this herculean feat? I guess it's up to us, the goEMAW investors, and perhaps most importantly, Vaughn Scribner, to find out.

My vote is to raise some money for Vaughn to get a paid ad on Google that directly links him with goEMAW and specifically states that he is an employee of BOTC and WFC. We could get a link on the page to a PayPal account for Vaughn's ad.

I'm not doing anything via "DM" or in any non-public fashion (ha!). We've always preached transparency here and I'm not about to change that for Vaughn Scribner.
Coincidentally, it's Wednesday again and as noted in the tweets laid out at the beginning of this thread, it's almost courtroom ass-whippin' time again.
