American owner of a wildlife park in the Mexican resort of Tulum died after being kicked, bitten and sat on by a camel...  All he wanted was a Pepsi.

No. I took him to a place where he would slither freely. I played Velvet Revolver whilst doing so. Live and let live.

what kind of dorsal pattern did it have?  smooth scales or more rough?  did it seem like it had a short tail or long?

Also left a terrible odor on my hands after holding him.

they mostly all do that, if they're scared.  but the water snake would prolly be the worst of the three i posted.

when i said it pretty much has to be one of those three, i'm assuming it wasn't striped, because you prolly would have mentioned that.

Definitely not striped. names of those three? I'll try and narrow it down.

And yes, that smell was terrible. What do they secrete that does that?

And yes, that smell was terrible. What do they secrete that does that?

they have glands in the base of the tail that produce a "musk".  in some species it is pretty liquid and they can sort of spray it, but in most it is pretty thick and they can just sort of ooze it out and smear it around.  i imagine it deters some predators.
