Just watched those earlier tonight. I will see that movie and enjoy the eff out of it. Danny McBride and Craig Robinson go without saying, but I love me some James Franco comedy. eff Seth Rogen though. Hill is hit or miss for me.

It's based on a Japanese young adult novel where the protagonist is caught in some Groundhog Day loop during a big battle with invading aliens. He keeps getting his crap handed to him in battle, but gradually improves and then is a total perfect warrior type along with Emily Blunt who is also in the same kind of loop. Just like how Bill Murray did it. I don't know how it ends so this is not a spoiler.

Because the cast has to work well together. So, to me movies like "Valentine's Day" have some great actors, but as a cast they are unsuccessful. There are movies out there with a lot of stars that do well.no I meant the movie, as in the script itself sucks. That movie looks awful

did anyone watch the first of this series? still haven't. was it any good? is there any reason to think this will be good?
It was really well done. Andy Serkis as Cesar being the highlight. It has James Franco in it. . .so that might be its one downside.
This next installment does not have James Franco and will utilize a lot more of Andy Serkis' depth as the leader of the Apes. (It also has Gary Oldman) This sequel is shaping up to be much better than its predecessor. Would recommend you catch the first one.

That's solely based on the Dark Knight trilogy, though. Remove that, and there is one pretty good Superman movie, an awful Green Lantern movie, and another really bad Superman movie. There really hasn't been much. Marvel is cranking 2 a year. They just don't have the universe or the fanchisability? that Marvel has. Hopefully Batman vs Superman will bring them a bit closer.

I have to disagree. Captain America winter soldier is a very good movie as well. I'd also argue that the first Iron Man is also extremely good. The rest of the films are definitely good fun. None of them make you feel like you wasted your time at the end like "The Counselor" or "Killing them Softly".

I'm just baffled they needed to raise money. They must have burned quite a few studio bridges if they cant get anyone to bankroll this movie.
This is a good way to create some buzz and get several thousand fans involved.
I was also thinking today about how much that changes the actors profit making ability. Since they no longer have to give a cut to a studio, does that mean they are pocketing more cash from ticket sales?
Someone pledged at the $35,000 level and will get the cruiser from the movie. Awesome.

I think the problem with the MK movies is that they tie themselves enough to the source material to shoehorn themselves into a shitty movie, but they want to keep a PG 13 rating, so they can't overcome the shittiness with over the top fatalities, babalities, and what have you.I think this is spot on. This MK at least tries to rectify that part of it by running head first into an R rating.
But otherwise, yes. People just refuse to believe the MK source material is only a mediocre story.
