Why settle for an all-Big12 QB when a shittier one is available
You're such an irrational bigot on this board. He was HM for christ sakes.

It's maddening that some of you are still pissed over this.
have you looked at the QBs on this roster for next season?  these posts will seem quite pleasant
I have. Too bad Sharp didn't stick around. Our best option for next year is going to be a true freshman or would have been an unproven d sams.  :surprised:
I personally would not consider a QB that put up the best numbers ever for a sophomore and was near the top for all 1st year QBs under Snyder unproven but I guess proven/unproven is kind of an intangible thing.

Yeah, I guess he could just never really win the big game. He had 7-5/8-4 written all over him.

FWIW, I believe all it would take is for Sams to graduate by this summer and he would be eligible to go anywhere that accepted him into a Graduate School program McNeese doesn't have.

Why does he have to graduate?  He didn't need to graduate to transfer from KSU to McNeese, so why does he have to graduate to transfer back?  Honest question, here.  I don't know the rules, but it seems like they could work going each way, right?

Why does somebody have to be "to blame"?   DSams made a decision to be closer to his family in Louisiana so they could see him play in person more often...

He ain't comin' back guys.  That ship has sailed.

Steffy, FCS kids don't transfer to FBS schools... it just doesn't happen.

'Neese how often does your school have kids leave to go back to FBS schools?  Do most transfers come in expecting to move on with their career at another school?  ie are the looking at McNeese as a stop over before going going back to a FBS school?  I hate to make the analogy of minor leagues in baseball where the emphasis is on player development and an inability to plan on the long term since you are constantly waiting for the majors to call a player up, but is there any kind of feeling like that at the FCS level?

Actually, I can't think of a case of it ever happening.   I know you can move down without sitting out a year but I don't think you can move up without having to sit out.   Personally, I don't know of a case where a FCS player left to go to a FBS school.   Can't say it never ever happened, I just don't know of a case.

I know, I've never heard of it.  It would be very cool in this instance, though (if permitted by the rules).

Wacky, here's the real question.  Would you rather have Sams on your roster, or whoever was awarded the very last scholarship?  Seems pretty simple to me.  :dunno:

If he can't play, does it matter?

It's okay for people to care about things.  It should be no difference to you.
