dlew appears to be a slob.  gross.
We do what we do to get by.  We survive.

pick up a little bit, man.  and is that a mass of cable behind the bigger tv?  woof.

Looks a lot like college to me  :dunno:

excuses are like a-holes, btk guy

there's no reason to live like a slob and to have a mass of cables.  at the very least, get some zip ties and straighten that crap up.

With 5 other roommates, it's useless.

See those golf clubs there?  I don't know who they belong to, and they've been there for weeks.

Radio Shack, and others, have fantastic little black Velcro strips designed for this very purpose.  Cheap too.

Sell the clubs and buy some cable management.

Thought of another good one. I have come across multiple moms here bragging about their kids enjoying seaweed as a snack

"my kids just won't eat chocolate, actually they don't like any kind of sweets.  They really prefer carrots....and they lovelovelove apple slices."

(true story, the above parent brought kid into office and said kid went ape crap on candy at every desk they stopped by.  Like a great white feeding frenzy)

Oh man.  These might be worse than the "I don't have cable/TV" crowd.

They are the "I don't have cable/TV" crowd, but also have kids.  Same people, just popped a kid out and decided to impose their stupidity on their kids and that way if you steer the conversation from TV to anything kid related they are still better than you.

having kids generally brings out a little extra self-righteousness in people, which I think makes them worse.

Also, that room doesn't have any lights in it.  Whoever built it, got to that room and thought to themselves, "nope!  no lights in here."

I'm moving to a "nicer" home in a couple of weeks so I'm not going to do a complete home makeover/zip tie those cables, OKTy PenningtonCat

 :curse:

I have an in-law who is a doctor. He's always talking about how his kids don't like to eat unhealthy food because he never feeds it to them, and how when they eat out, his kids always just get a salad because it's their favorite food. Whenever they are coming over to my place, I always make sure that I'm well-stocked on candy and I let his kids pig out whenever he and his wife aren't looking.

His kids hate him and will be totally mumped out in 10 years.
