if that 3 loss big 12 team lost all their games to top 10 teams on the road who were in playoff contention and that big 12 champ also went on the road and beat auburn in their own stadium, and the big 12 proved they were head and shoulders the best conference in the country, i would agree with you.

every power conf should have their champ represented in a form of playoffs.  As long as that is an odd number, the top two should be represented.

All of this is IMO, of course.

so hypothetically speaking if the SEC champion went 8-4, including a 1-3 mark in nonconference play with losses to a couple bad teams in power conferences and a head to head loss against an 11-1 power 5 runner up, you think the SEC champion should get the nod over the 11-1 team? evne if the rest of the SEC also had numerous abysmal losses to FCS teams and poor non-power 5 teams?

you mean like kansas state? when people think of athletics programs in kansas, i assure you they don't think of kansas state football first.

as for auburn, it softens the blow being second fiddle seeing as how we are reigning SEC champions.

ksu football is a national brand.  this is best exemplified by our national prime time game this saturday against okie st.  you know why the best game is in the prime time slot on abc?  regardless of if you have a digital converter for old ppl that still have bunny ears, or casual fans, or hard core fans, the game on abc is available to them.  that is a national brand.

You should lay off the bath salts because I was at that game and the pud purple fans (just so you're clear, the diploma mill known as kstate) were no where close to being 2/3 of the stadium.

Ft. Worth Bar owner told me last time I was there, that he just loved it when we came to town. He said the weekends K-State are in town (Cotton bowl, TCU, etc.) his bar sales almost triple from any other weekend. He said after the Cotton bowl, he made sure to make his bar a "K-State home bar" for the TCU game weekend, even tho he was a TCU grad.

A Manhattan, Ks bar owner told me last time I was there that people in Manhattan are dumb and he couldn't wait until TCU was a member of the Big 12 so he could make his bar a TCU home bar for the TCU game weekend even though he was a diploma mill recipient.
