If I'm reading the last few posts correctly, the point is that defense in the NBA isn't bad, they just aren't allowed to play the team version of it. And we're supposed to believe the shooting is really good even though the stats don't indicate that and even though they can't really guard the rim.
So, your eyes are allowed to tell you they're great shooters, but they aren't allowed to tell you they aren't trying that hard on defense.
